Mutual Of Irish's Wild Kingdom.... Chiffon...

Ishi: The Last of His Tribe

Today is the 107th anniversary that Ishi, the last known "primitive man", stepped out of the wilderness and into the Western World near Oroville, California. Ishi was approximately fifty years old at the time. He was discovered attempting to eat from freshly slaughtered beeves. Not knowing what to do with the "wildman", the locals who discovered Ishi called the sheriff. The sheriff knew the starving man was Indian, but no one could converse with him. Ishi was eventually taken to the University of California in Berkeley, department of anthropology where he would live out his days. Here, Ishi was interviewed and closely studied. He revealed much about his life, the Yahi, and Yani. He offered a glimpse into what life was like for many native Americans before the modern Europeans arrived. He was truly the last of his tribe. The story of Ishi is a very interesting one and has been made into a biopic television series, documentaries, and the 1992 movie Ishis: The Last of His Tribe. There have been several written works regarding Ishi as well. Ishi died in 1916 of Tuberculosis. His last words were, "you stay, I go".

(Note: For some reason this movie begins around the twenty minute mark. Simply rewind to the beginning. It is a very good film)
The clip below is of a Mr. Kessler. He was one of the men who discovered Ishi the night he wandered out of the wilderness and into the area of the slaughterhouse these men were operating. Mr. Kessler appears to be speaking to a group of either high school or college age young people. This video was filmed in 1973 and is very interesting as well.

The moment he realized the Madden 19 Gaming Tournament had ran out of "participation trophies"

Is it just me or does this guy look like the standard hybrid model mind-control crisis actor frequently used in various roles in these types of shootings?

Stormy D Must Be Hard Up...

Last night I went behind enemy lines into The People's Republik of mASSachusetts.

We snuck across the border to go to Salisbury Beach where "The Machine", a Pink Floyd

tribute band, was performing at the Blue Ocean Music Hall

I have seen them off and on over the years and they always do a great job with their shows.

As we were driving to the show we passed a "Gentlemens Club"  named "Kittens"  located

on Route 1 North.

A picture is worth a thousand words....

It's not quite the upscale place you think you would find some top rated, famous celebrity like

Stormy Daniels... ( I had to do a double take and stop for a picture of the sign )

It looks like Stormy is really stepping up in the world.....

Oh, well... I gotta run... "My neighbor" has another album she wants recorded...

Word of the day: MEGARECTUM

Constipated man nearly died after feces-filled bowel burst (I am not laughing about this).

A man almost died after his bowel became so full with feces it burst and caused his organs to start shutting down.
The 24-year-old was taken to the hospital after suffering with tummy pain and diarrhea for a week.
The patient, who is autistic, had a history of chronic constipation and had been admitted to the hospital a number of times over the last four years.
Examination showed he had a tender, swollen abdomen with minimal bowel sounds.
A CT-scan revealed he had a megarectum - a condition which causes the colon to dilate.
His rectum had dilated up to 18-cm inside his body and was "filled with feces", according to the BMJ case report.
He was given oral laxatives but refused regular enemas to clear his bowels.
Two days later he returned to Newham University Hospital in London suffering inflammation in the stomach and reduced consciousness.
Further tests revealed his blood was becoming too acidic and his kidneys were starting to fail.
A second CT-scan found a "substantial perforation" of his bowel and he was rushed into surgery where doctors were able to close the tear.
The operation was successful and the man made a full recovery after being kept in intensive care.
"This patient had chronic, idiopathic megacolon and megarectum," Dr. Alexandros Apostolopoulos, who treated the man, wrote in the report. "Patients with this condition report recurrent episodes of constipation, abdominal pain, distension and bloating starting in childhood or adolescence."
"Due to increased intraluminal [gastrointestinal] pressures, these patients are at an increased risk of ulceration of the bowel wall," Apostolopoulos wrote. "Hence, they are at an increased risk of perforation."
Megacolon and megarectum are often treated with enemas and oral laxatives.
If these methods fail, surgery may be needed to correct the bowel to prevent serious complications.

Parents fight back after school drops Pledge of Allegiance for student-authored oath to "global society"

This is one of those articles that makes one shake their head. I have ranted from time to time that thee Pledge should be changed from pledging "to the flag" to "I pledge allegiance to the Constitution". As I grew older I began to feel the Pledge was not as meaningful as when I was younger. It was after all written by a socialist and the intent behind the Pledge was not necessarily being patriotic to these United States.  Like it or not, this teacher represents many of the reasons why our freedoms, beliefs, traditions and ways of life as Americans are in grave peril. She and many others commies who "teach" K-college are corrupting our young. Read the article that tells the tale of how a lunatic is acting in the capacity of an educator and promoting such "silliness" HERE.
