  2. Awesome performer. Had an aneurysm that nearly killed him in 2002. Recovered and started to perform again. Saw him in Houston in 2007. Small venue. Was great to see one of my favorites. "The Wreck" is one of my most favorite ballads of all time. RIP Gordon. You did well.

    1. Saw him on the same tour, only San Antonio. Small theater (maybe 1000 seats, sold out) just down the street from our hotel. Great show. Lot's of interaction with the crowd, stories about his life. Heard a podcast about 10 years ago with a famous guitar player/song writer (can't now remember who it was). Interviewer asked him greatest pop song ever written? He didn't hesitate, Sundown, without question. A flawless composition musically and lyrically with every element a song writer could possibly think of, all in one song. Rest in peace, GL.

  3. I've got a few of his albums, don't listen to them often. Heck they still have the plastic on them. He'll be on the weekend playlist along with Tim Bachman from BTO. Gonna be a strange playlist .
