The cabbie that picked us up at the train station in Waterford one afternoon for a ride over to the glass factory told us it would be closing in a few minutes. So he took us to a pub and drank us under the table and out the door. At one point in the evening he launched into a glorious song, he had a magnificent voice. The whole place erupted when he stopped.
Ireland has the strangest street sculptures you've ever seen.
When Irish eyes are smiling. Yes, all four are lovely, but notice the sincerity of the emotion...look at the eyes. They're not posing, not trying to be coy, or sexy (even though they are). Just fine colleens, comfortable in themselves, and glad to salute the world. Slainte!
Need to know the name of that pub for my eventual trip to Ireland.
