Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

What ever you are doing today, enjoy yourself and stay safe.

I had a 'few' (liar) pints of Guinness yesterday during the afternoon and was sure

to be home well before the shenanigans started and the constabulary was out in force.

I've matured a bit in these six decades I guess.

Slainté !

  1. The Chicago River celebrated Saint Patrick's Day yesterday!

Corned beef & cabbage beckons. Maybe a nice pork burrito with green sauce?

  6. Slainté ! I've seen this word here and other places over the years and never really knew what it meant or how to pronounce it. Turns out it sounds something like SLAHN-chə.

    Here's a little primer:

  7. 'tis a fine day to be of Scottish descent. An orange shirt, some fine bagpipe reels, and a bit of Laphroaig to celebrate

  8. I’m not Irish, however, it’s my 60th birthday. I just wanted to thank both Irish and Jeffery for all you guys do! Happy Saint Patrick’s day! Wishing you both a great day! Stay safe!

  9. Mine was always "May you die in bed at the ripe old age of 98, shot by a jealous husband". But I'll take the 'original' any day of the year.
