There are people that know the Bible better than me. That's for sure. But I try to ask God every day for help with everything in my life. How about you? Please give me insights into your prayer life and walk with God? What do you do on a daily or weekly basis that you would be willing to stand in front of a congregation and preach about? That push people feel is conviction from the Holy Spirit. They know they're doing wrong/sinning but don't want to change. They want God's help/blessings but also want to keep sinning. But if they are forced to choose then they choose sin. That's why they feel pushed away. You have to admit (read: confess) you have problems/sin in your life and that you need help. If you can't handle being told an extrajudicial hit team is wrong and/or that you should be working every day to get *known sin* out of your life then you are BIG trouble. And by BIG trouble I mean the eternal kind as in "Depart from me. I never knew you."
If you aren't will to stop the *known sin* in your own life, why would you expect God to stop someone else from sinning. The process starts with you!
The solution to this is easy. God gave us simple instructions. 1) Humble yourself. That means you need to admit to yourself and God that you have problems in you life and that you need help. You don't have to involve anyone else - just you and God.
2) Pray. That means you actively ask God to help you every single day. Ask Him as many times for help as you need. He doesn't get mad about that. He wants to be involved in every part, the small and the big, of your life. He is willing and able to help you BUT ... *you have to ask first.* He will not force Himself into your life. He knocks but you have to open the door.
3) Turn from your wicked ways. That means if *you know* about sin in your life then, as a man, STOP it. If it is big serious sin (e.g. adultery, fornication, watching porn) then ask God to help you stop. It's that simple. God, I need help to stop X and that's probably just a symptom of an underlying problem. God, Father, please help me with both the symptoms and the root cause. Pro tip: say "Thank you" every time God helps you. Even if it's some time afterwards say, "Thank you." You'd say thank you if someone helped you with your car or your taxes or bills or yardwork. Why not say thank you to God.
4) Seek His face. That means *every day* you need to spend time working on your relationship with God. You can ask God for help with that too. God, I'm sorry I haven't worked on my relationship with you. I don't know you or your ways. Please help me as a good father would help his son. Please help me to read the Bible and understand it. Please help *me* to change. Your Word promises that you will help if I ask. I am asking you in Jesus' name, please help.
This is a mild rebuke for people with *known sin* in their lives. The instructions I have given you are the *easy* way. You do NOT want to do things the hard way (e.g. stern rebuke). Trust me on that one. Been there done that. Start by giving God, THE creator of everything, just 15 minutes a day. Make a reminder on your phone/computer if you need help remembering. If you can't do 15 minutes then start with 10 or 5. Sit in your car for 5 minutes before you go into work and say, "God, please, I'm a sinner, I repent, I need help." Read just a few verses of the Bible. Pick something easy like a Psalm or the sermon on the mount. Sit in your car for 5 minutes after work and say something like, "Thank you, God. I appreciate your help today. Please help me when I get home with wife, kids, dinner, x, y, z. Thank you."

The extra time is to allow people to learn from their mistakes and repent/change their ways. Many times in the Bible it talks about how God will serve justice to those who do evil. Don't worry. Nobody is getting away with anything.
God is good and he wants a family. That's why he created us. The proof of his love is that he gave his only son, Jesus, so that whosoever believes might be saved and have everlasting life. Jesus suffered horribly on the cross and died to pay the price for all the wrong we have done. What many people don't realize is that God, the Father, had to watch his son suffer. He had to allow his torture, suffering, and death. Then (this is so heart breaking), he had to abandon Jesus ("My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"). I can't even begin to imagine how painful it was for both of them. To be separated like that. The pain ... unbearable. But God made the decision that all the suffer and pain (even his own) was worth the price for his children.
A lot of people don't remember that the night before the crucifixion that Jesus prayed not once, not twice, but three times that this cup be removed from him nevertheless, your/God's will be done. Jesus said, "My soul is deeply grieved, [almost] to the point of death." The weight of what he was going to do was so horrible that is almost killed him just thinking about it!!! This was no easy thing for Jesus or the Father.
This life is a test. You better wake up and jettison the bad attitude. We have to choose between death and life. Examples of this are all over the place both in our everyday lives and in the Bible (wheat vs. tares, good vs. evil, fruit vs. no fruit, etc) Those people doing bad things you talked about, they have chosen ... with their actions. And they will be punished unless they repent and accept Jesus. Those children that were killed ... they are in heaven with God right now. He has rewarded them for all their sacrifices.
I would strongly suggest that you go talk to God the Father or Jesus and ask for help to get over your anger and unforgiveness. Ask him to help you understand. If you are sincere then he will help. He promised he would (Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find.).

This life is a test. You better wake up and jettison the bad attitude. We have to choose between death and life. Examples of this are all over the place both in our everyday lives and in the Bible (wheat vs. tares, good vs. evil, fruit vs. no fruit, etc) Those people doing bad things you talked about, they have chosen ... with their actions. And they will be punished unless they repent and accept Jesus. Those children that were killed ... they are in heaven with God right now. He has rewarded them for all their sacrifices.
I would strongly suggest that you go talk to God the Father or Jesus and ask for help to get over your anger and unforgiveness. Ask him to help you understand. If you are sincere then he will help. He promised he would (Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find.).
