I read what everyone said and we know this is, one way or another, a hit piece against firearms. But I feel the need to ask a question: Did this news report change what you would do if the government came for your firearms? Did it make you feel guilty for the actions of others? Or did it anger you and bolster your resolve to be left in peace?

The Eff Bee Eye supposedly had the guy's house surrounded late afternoon into the night, shouting "Come out with your hands up" over a bullhorn. Whatever would make them think he's there is beyond me. ReplyDeleteThe guy is in the Army reserve and probably had some at least basic E and E training. He may be irrational, but I don't think he's stupid. I saw one blurb yesterday that indicated he had "allegedly" stolen a jet ski on the Androscoggin river.
Maine PD had to borrow a FLIR equipped helicopter from NH PD to conduct the air search because Maine doesn't have one. "Allegedly", Maine and NH DO NOT have a common comms system, so the air search was being coordinated via radio and PHONE through NH PD, i,e, the helo was talking to its search coordinator via radio and the search coordinator was talking to Maine PD via phone.
Expect that Maine PD will purchase a FLIR equipped helo and all states will be mandated to have common comms capability. Another "Let's squeeze more blood from the taxpayer stone" scheme.
