I've never owned an Ortgies, but would not mind owning this one. There was/is a lot of history associated with this gun. The part of "how it go to America" is pretty interesting too.
Check out 'Gun Broker . com'. If you aren't familiar, it's an online auction, similar to fleabay, only with more rules due to the gummint. There are about a dozen listed right now, under $500. You'll need the services of a local FFL to make a purchase. Read the instructions carefully.
Get yourself a C&R license. $30 for three years and you can buy one of these direct from the seller and have it shipped right to your doorstep. NO fingerprinting required.
