Amazing performance. Lot of pain coming from a 15-year-old voice. Can't say it surprises me too much. As the father of a teenager, I'm amazed these kids have been able to hold it together through all of the plandemic fuckery. Having a strong family is very important.
It's probably just me, but there seems to be a bandwagon to be jumped on. The voice is captivating. Lyrics crafting is lacking. He's not alone in this. Not many great lyricists nowadays.
Excellent video. I stumbled across it while browsing Yooboob after the It's a Damn Shame blow-up. Dark Black Coal is worth a listen as well, all in the vein of Appalachian folk. There are hundreds of excellent singer-songwriters playing locally and I encourage everyone to support them. Once in a while a few get national attention, but most labor for the love of the art in obscurity. Charlie Parr is another excellent example.
He is one of quite a few of the musical talent here in this area. Just a downhome kid too. I'll also put out Sela Campbell as another standout. Talent way beyond their years. https://www.facebook.com/100063687092882/videos/277313698081658/
Joe Cocker offspring.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Ray LaMontayne
ReplyDeleteExactly. With a little Cocker and maybe some Vedder in there as well. Too young to to have that sound imo.
