Dad was a submariner for WW-2. I do have grampa's campaign hat from WW-1. When the time comes i will be wearing the hat and using a caliber.30 M-1 Garand that was manufactured in the 3rd week of December 1941.
All Gramps knew which side (of good and evil) The United States was on. That's why Americans told their professional rulers "no", to the war. So, so many Americans. So, so many "no"s. Columbia said, "But we are wizards!", "We piss on your shoes, and it rains!", "We send arms and 'trainers', as an act of peace.", and "Now look what you made us do!". And Gramps said "I know they worship Evil." (remember: AFTER The War To End All Wars, after The Federal Reserve, after the National Firearms Act, after so, so many attacks against Americans by The United States) "That gives me bad feelz, when I worship them. But worship them I will. Doing evil, that I know is evil, because somebody told me to, makes me GOOD! The Wizard tells me so!"

I have 2 sons in their 30s and both went to Trade School. The older one has a family. The younger one does not as he says he finds the women are too stupid or have a bias. The bias is that they are college degreed and looking for men with college degrees yet he is making well over 6 figures and likely more money then they are but they do not realize it. The younger one says he will just date and stay unmarried.
