What's happening in Oz is pretty bad but I have a good friend that lives in Israel. It's a much, much smaller country with virtually no where to go off grid. Hence it's pretty easy to effectively impose draconian edicts. I've seen large crowds in western Australia and no one is masked. Nothing like Sydney or Melbourne.
Israel is now mandating the 3rd booster. If you won't get the injection, you can't work, go to school, go to a restaurant, gather with friends, grocery shop or even leave your apartment. Right now everyone's movements are tracked with the GPS on their phones.
I've been telling him that the government must have know that it's affecting military readiness yet they are mandating everyone in the services must get the "vaccine" I also have been telling him that their good buddies in Gaza are pretty much 100% unvaxxed.
Shit is going to hit fan by spring time.
And the kicker is the fookin' irony that the most oppressive police state in the west is Israel.
MMinWA, I agree with a lot of what you are saying but I also see several errors and misunderstandings so I'll try to address them.
1. Israel is small but very hilly and the "wadis", the narrow valleys in between the hills, provide a lot of off grid cover. Somewhat similar to Appalachian hollows. There are actually lots of off grid folks in Israel. You just don't hear much about them because, well, they live off grid. 2. A very large percentage of Israelis are simply ignoring the mandates. Just like here, the media is covering up this inconvenient fact, so that many Israelis are not even aware of it. 3. The mandates mostly only affect the Jewish population. The majority of Ayrabs, Bedouins, African illegal aliens, European temporary workers, etc. simply ain't buying into the bullshit. 4. Military readiness is being affected but it won't affect the current defense, it mostly affects the next generation of new recruits entering training. And it takes a strange form, with the soldiers mostly remaining silent, but their mothers actively protesting their treatment. 5. Pretty sure things won't last this way all the way until spring time... 6. Ignore the media lies and take another look around NYfC, Chicongo, Califruitopia, Paris, Brussels, etc. Quite simply, Israel is the furthest thing from being the most oppressive police state in the West. 7. If there is any oppression at all going on, Israel's secular government really only oppresses it's Jewish citizens, almost everyone else gets a pass.
The government of Israel might have its problems, but the Land of Israel is Holy. The majority of American Jews love America and don't have any desire to ever leave, but OTOH the majority of the Commandments can only be kept in Israel. So the real ironic kicker is that Israel still remains the freest place on Earth for a Jew to live, despite any failings of its secular government.
Sadly more than a few decent Police I know personally are going to get hurt before they can exit the Tyranny Forces.
Or as they said on the Russian Front during WW2 the Russian Soldier could charge forward and get shot by the Germans or falter or flee and get shot by RUSSIAN Political Troops. OH and BTW Their Families would get Shot later when the news got back to the rear.
