Last night, while putting together the post for FFFF I was listening to some music. On the rotation
Snuff, by Slipknot came on. For me, it's a powerful song that digs deep into emotion. It's always one
that gets the volume turned up. I broke away from the blog and hit youtube to find the live version.
As that was playing I saw this one on the sidebar as related. Damn.. what a treat. So down the
rabbit hole I went.
Here is a cover of ♫♪Snuff♫♪ and some others... enjoy.
Push play, be drawn in......
Note:
Enjoying these may depend on your mood at the time of choosing to listening to them.
Grandpa! Were you a hippie and a headbanger?
ReplyDeleteWe love music as we love women, and nothing changes that. We are just viewed as creepier as we get older.
I'm hooked! Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeletePeople equal shit is a good one by Slipknot.
ReplyDeleteSlayer-Seasons in the Abyss and Terrorizer-World Downfall are some great soundtracks for the end of the line.
I like the PF soundtracks More and Obscured by Clouds.
Pearl Tongue has comrade Eddie Vedder but the band has some great players.
The Trickster is the best Radiohead and they never played it live again after SF 98.
I have video of 80+ year old testing out a 1942 Gibson at guitar shop where he tears one off, beautiful.
Another has Brian Setzer playing the same guitar.

ReplyDeleteAll were pretty good for solo work.
The Pink Floyd covers were great. The others? Didn't listen, I probably don't know or like the originals anyway.
