  1. Two Cycle Diesel? Blowing donuts usually indicates a stuck injector. Why not just let it idle all night next time and avoid this bullsh*t?

    1. We had to keep the diesel trucks on both the flight lines and the missile sites continually running - no way on God's Green Earth those puppies were gonna start in -20 degrees F.

    2. Yup. In the winter we always had the fuel trucks plugged in (block heater - usually illegal at civil airfields) or ran them 24/7. They will not start if you let them freeze.

  6. They never heard of glow plugs?
Shit, just the friction of the rings on the walls for (what seemed like) 30 minutes should have warmed the combustion chamber high enough.

And I think grinding my diesels on a cold Texas winter for 45 seconds is a long time....

  7. Every male watching that video was talking to that engine. When we try and start my neighbor's old John Deere tractor ( no glow plug) in the spring. Dancing with the throttle and choke, sweet talking the girl some of the time, cursing the old bitch other times.
