  1. Propaganda wouldn't exist if it wasn't effective. And it's effective because people are gullible, stupid and lazy...too lazy to learn facts for themselves. Just think of the most average person in your circle of acquaintances. Now remember, half of society is DUMBER than that person. And they are all allowed to vote.

    1. The term now carries a strongly negative connotation. Indeed, in response to hearing or reading the term, nearly all people will think one thing and only one thing; that the term means to convey misunderstanding to the people.

In actuality, the term 'propaganda' simply means to inform. How it came to carry only that negative connotation is interesting.

  2. Ah, yep and sadly even the more clever get caught up in recycled propaganda fed to them from "trusted sources".

If you ask Cui Bono often you might see what's happening more often.

Cui bono? (Classical Latin: [kui̯ ˈbɔnoː]), in English "to whom is it a benefit?", is a Latin phrase about identifying crime suspects. It expresses the view that crimes are often committed to benefit their perpetrators, especially financially.
