#22 "we'll give you another pill to counteract the side effects of this one". I have personal experience with this one. A med I was taking for a condition I have wasn't doing the job all of the time. In addition the doc I was seeing left the practice and I was assigned to the guy who took his place. The new guy changes the med I was on to something else which caused me almost blinding head aches and raised my BP to dangerous levels instead of lowering it wh9ich was what the original med was supposed to do. After two days of that, I called his office and reported what was going on and further told his nurse I was going back to the original med. He calls me back in about ten minutes and says I'm prescribing another med to counteract the side effects of the other new med. I told him in no uncertain terms that I didn't want the new med, was going back to the original, that I thought he was an idiot and would be requesting to be assigned to a different doc.
Next day, I go to get the mail. In there was the new med he prescribed to counteract the side effects of the one causing the problems. I filed a complaint with the patient advocacy office, however he's still there years later. They tried to get me to see him one other time. I told them if he ever came within ten feet of me again there would be violence.
No telling how many he may have killed or maimed since, of course, the AMA and state medical org's protect incompetent doc's.
Anthony Hopkins gives an underrated performance as Der Adolf in the 1980 teevee Das Bunker. Applied for some SSI after a medical disaster and the only trad American in the office was the receptionist. Future lifetime CPUSA voters fresh from the border were there early elbowing people back for the benefits that they never paid into. They came off $2000 and because I was using the Sack-N-Save self checkout as the bank, it was stopped after two months, banks get a cut of all of it and the Hydra is everywhere. They will take it by force when the gibs dry up from not enough productive people in the Chiquitastan. Carlin was a great philosopher who nailed it with the big club and we ain't in it. Your soul is more valuable than that club.
Bipartisan = Double Penetration. The Libertarian Party, while not perfect, at least points out and challenges the worthlessness of the two major parties. Indeed we have a system, including the media, that actively ignores any real challenges to the status quo, but why do the citizens also ignore the other choices and candidates out there?
Fuggin' Republicans ain't worth squat. How many are actually pushing back? Boebert? Rand Paul? And to the autocracy, it's just a little yap dog they can ignore.
There are still some decent medicos around, but I'm worried about finding one when my day comes, and it's a'coming, for sure. Gray pride, yeah, but age is having its due. - Mr. Mayo
