  1. It's a helpless feeling whether 53 years ago, or five days ago.

  2. Strange, the anger that I feel, over what happened 5 decades ago, or last week, is the same. I was born in 1960, so Vietnam was not my war, except for on TV. But I was the type who never thought that our leaders would ever lie to us. Of course, now I know that they will not tell us the truth, unless it is in their best interests.
One thing that amazes me is that even now, friends of mine from high school will write on the book of face, that they remember when Walter Cronkite would simply read the news. No personal feelings, or opinions, just the facts. Ha! That is not the truth. Cronkite held more power over the Vietnam war than the 3 presidents whose hands touched it, and Kissinger as well. Because when Uncle Walter reported that the Tet Offensive was a major disaster for the American side, that turned the American people against the war, big time. Yet the facts show that the Tet Offensive was actually a huge win for American forces.
I have no problem with a broadcaster having an opinion, as long as they don't try and cover it as hard news. That is where the real issue comes into play. It is not always overt either. The major networks have become experts at picking which stories they cover, that leans the entire broadcast in the direction that they want.

  3. I posted this at the link, and my BP is still off the charts...
So yous guys gonna gets it too while I go and find some BP Meds...
    - I was in Afghanistan in 02 and 03...
We had won the war in 02,
and I was there in 03 when the Traitorous Bastards (of both parties)
changed the ROE's and LOST everything we had won with blood.
I voted for bush in 2000 and was glad,
Now can not mention that name without spitting and cursing.
Oh, I saw this posted this morning...Some have said we are going to get A LOT of Americans killed with
    "Equity, Diversity, and Political Correctness"...
They have no idea the slaughter we are walking (NO, running) to greet with open arms...

  4. "I know that they will not tell us the truth, unless it is in their best interests"

They lie when the truth would serve them better. Truth has long ceased to exist at most levels of .gov, local, state and national.

Just look at the aftermath of the fiasco in Uvalde. Now, the Police Chief, the reported incident commander who issued the stand down order, is refusing to talk to the Texas Rangers. That tells you all you need to know.

Yet, Demonrats still think law abiding Americans are going to give up their firearms because they tell us to. Fat effing chance.

Then there's Canada. Are Canadians going to just roll over and let Turdeau take their handguns? When I watched the clips of his announcement, I was astounded at the level of cheering that took place. What a bunch of ignoramuses. Yah, I know it was staged and most of the people cheering were from the MSM, but still...

  6. That nobody has learned anything from that war is the greater tragedy. Generation after generation continue to willingly volunteer to fight and die for geopolitical causes that have NOTHING to do with the safety or security of the states, but have everything to do with the profits of some and the agendas of others.
