  1. Years ago, I operated an overhead crane (up in the crane) lifting cooling slabs of steel to railway flat cars. One of the most satisfying jobs I ever had. Lot's of fun.

    1. Their reasoning is "equity". In other words, they want make sure that black people can have the same toys to kill themselves as white people.

  6. Red Barcetta . . . I can remember being in senior English class and the assignment was to write a poem. My friend Jim plagiarized a huge chunk of the lyrics to Red Barcetta. Teacher liked his poem so much she gave him an A+ asked him to read it in front of the class. Of course all the guys erupted in laughter.

  9. hjets has left a new comment on your post "Sporadica......":

I hauled loads of High Fructose Corn Syrup to bakeries and food and soda producers from Maine to Virginia and as far west as Ohio from a Processing plant in Eastern PA. At the time, 1977 to 1987, when I was working tank haul, it went in everything. We were a Teamster outfit and our company was fastidious about cleanliness. Pepperidge Farm was one of our users. I have to tell you the sampling that was done at Pepperidge Farm was the most stringent of any place I delivered. They made sure that everything they received was of the highest purity.
I have no qualms about anything Pepperidge Farm produces.
