In last week's poll, Jan Smithers beat out Bernadette Peters to win the top slot. Bernadette was a close second. Honorable Mentions were Faye Dunaway, Crystal Gayle (my choice), Cheryl Ladd. I will put up the suggestions from last week (+ 1) and we can go from there.
Janet Jackson (Mikey's pick)
Jaclyn Smith
Kate Jackson
Farrah Fawcett
Jane Seymour
Maureen Ohara
Yvonne DeCarlo
Rita Hayworth
Ava Gardner
Suzanne Somers
Maureen O'Hara !!
ReplyDeleteYES!
DeleteWhat he said...Maureen Ohara the classic redhead.
DeleteJeffery, this is hardly fair, putting all 3 Angels in the same round. Okay, only 2 of them are from Texas, that narrows it down a bit. Farrah, I mean, that serape poster was ALL OVER the place when I was in HS. Very nice person, according to friends of mine who were her neighbors in the Woodlands. I never really fancied her myself. GF at the time had that same hairdo - made my nose itch. Bit skinny for my taste as well. But Jaclyn Smith had the same stylist. But she's from my hometown.
ReplyDeleteAgree with the first sentence.
DeleteGotta give it to Jane - she held on to it very well.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Janet, though - she resisted the Jackson insanity for a lot longer than any of her siblings.
Agree. I think the Seymours age the best and look good to 100
DeleteThis one's particularly tough with the Charlie's Angels in there, but I'll have to go with Ava Gardner. Gorgeous and she probably boinked Howard Hughes.
ReplyDeleteHayworth.
ReplyDeleteGotta go with Ms. Hayworth for this round.
ReplyDelete(Ava and Yvonne aren't far behind.)
Rita!
ReplyDeleteRita Hayworth with a very close second for Jaclyn

Rita, along with Betty Grable, won WWII.
ReplyDeleteHow do you beat that?
Hedy Lemarr?
DeleteHedy Lemarr?
DeleteThat's Hedley!
DeleteYvonne running away!
ReplyDelete(BTW: Also did Howard Hughes though I'm not sure why that scores any points)
Rita H for ever
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara! Hands down. And the reason she didn't work more is she DIDN'T boink the big wigs in HolyHell. That red hair.... And her character! She could shoot daggers with a look. Man, what's not to like. I've carried a torch for her every since I first saw her.
ReplyDeleteJohnny Weismueller's Jane, the longest running Jane ever. She's my second choice, behind Farrah. Have to admit, though, Bo was my Favorite Jane.
DeleteBest description of "That Look." "There she stood. Silent as Death, staring daggers at me, and SABERS at the Colonel..."--Victor McLaglen as SMG Quincannan in Rio Grande
DeleteJohnny Weismueller's Jane was Maureen O'Sullivan.
DeleteI like TFI so don't get pissed at me, but you can fix the stretched and compressed photos, go into HTML instead of compose side, and adjust the size numbers, just saying,my good man.
ReplyDeleteJacklyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Ava Gardner. Decisions, decisions....
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara!!!
ReplyDeleteUsed to be all about FF but I gotta go with Kate this time but Jackie nice too but that FF poster back in the day. Aw hell, you decide.
ReplyDeletekate jackson
ReplyDeleteRita, Rita water heater. Bernadette Peters was her doppelganger in another couple decades. Nemo
ReplyDeleteAva Gardner!
ReplyDeleteJanet Jackson gets honorable mention for this one: https://www.outsidethebeltway.com/fotos/jjsb1.jpg
ReplyDeleteNemo
Rita! Jane Seymour is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI have to go with Yvonne DeCarlo.
ReplyDeleteRita
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara
ReplyDeleteRita. Amazing how many people got it wrong.
ReplyDeleteMaureen Ohara !!
ReplyDeleteAva, in a collar! Oooohhhhh, Man! You don't make this easy. I also agree with others that putting all three angels in the same round is totally unfair. Fell in love with Kate in "The Rookies", and never got over it, so of the three, well, she came first.
ReplyDeleteRita, sultry and steamy, with those low hanging fruits...
Gotta be Kate, final answer, but the competition was stiff! (And the audience responded in kind)
I will channel the spirit of my father (WWII and Korea vet) and say Rita Hayworth.
ReplyDeleteKate Jackson.
ReplyDeleteMary Kate Danaher and Erin go Bragh!
ReplyDeleteJane Seymore. She aged exceptionally well.
ReplyDeleteOf the 3 angels it is Kate always. Overall for this post- Rita Hayworth, and she can hold her own with any of the others from previous weeks.
ReplyDeleteWas a bigger fan of Kate Jackson, but also lusted after Jane Seymour especially braless in Battlestar Galactica,Yay Pokies.
ReplyDeleteYvonne De Carlo, and Maureen O Hara would be a hard call to chose from, but would both be an acceptable answer??
Rita, hands down. Hybo
ReplyDelete1)Maureen O'Hara 2)Jane Seymour 3)Rita Hayworth
ReplyDeleteWas going to go with the boyhood dream...Farrah...but then...there she was...Rita Hayworth. Rita everyday all day!!!
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara!
ReplyDeleteRita, Yvonne, Maureen. In that order. As always, tough choices. Good job. Now, if you'll excuse me for awhile.....
ReplyDeleteMaureen OHara and Kate Jackson tied.
ReplyDelete“Tied . . .”
Delete#1 Rita
ReplyDelete#2 O'Hara
Why for you not take my vote for Maureen O'Hara, aka Mary Kate Danaher?
ReplyDeleteShe is in the lineup Unchcuk. Look again
DeleteRita.
ReplyDelete#1 Rita #2 Jaclyn
ReplyDeleteMaureen Ohara
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely!
Leigh
Whitehall, NY
Jane Seymour
ReplyDeleteSteve B
Jane Seymour.
ReplyDeleteAva (for the beach scene in Night Of The Iguana), then Rita. Easy, no contest.
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara was one of the sultriest actresses ever and a class act.
ReplyDeleteIMO, the only modern actress who holds a candle to her is Madeline Stowe.
Gotta be Jane Seymour for the win.....but so much delectable to choose from, and so many memories
ReplyDeleteFarrah
ReplyDeleteRita H.
ReplyDelete1. Jaclyn
ReplyDelete2. Kate
3. Jane
While I definitely appreciate the beauties from bygone eras long before mine, I'd need therapy for thinking about women older than my mother unless you can find a time machine to visit them in their prime.
Why u make dis so dam hard, bro ?
ReplyDeleteGad, what a choice! King Solomon would be in a state of utter indecision! But I have to go with Maureen O'Hara! First among equals.
ReplyDeleteMcLintock, great movie with both Maureen O'Hara and Yvonne De Carlo.
ReplyDeleteRita Hayworth
ReplyDeleteMost of them so I win.
ReplyDeleteANY AMERICAN that is STUPID enough to marry a DOLT MUSLIME RAGHEAD AINT my pick for squat.
ReplyDeleteCRYSTAL GALE ALL DAY!
ReplyDeleteRita Hayworth
ReplyDeleteRita Hayworth
ReplyDeleteHayworth
ReplyDeleteMaureen O'Hara
ReplyDeleteThis must have been the hardest week to choose. I found it so, as it seems like so many others did as well. I ended up with Farah, with Rita a very close second, so I guess that I will just have to take them both.
ReplyDeleteMaureen
ReplyDeleteMaureen as actor. Rita for beauty. Suzanne for fun
ReplyDeleteMaureen!
ReplyDeleteJaclyn Smith is my pick for a female. Kate Jackson is my pick for a male. LOL
ReplyDeleteKate Jackson was awesome as the drummer in the Jackson Five!

Damn right she was! LOL!
DeleteI have to agree with the Chief. There were a few episodes of Charlie's Angels where it appeared she was packing more than a pistol!
Once again, you're not making these things easy, are you?
ReplyDeleteJayne Seymour. I can't get past that bed scene in Lassiter...
Rita Hayworth. Elegant, gorgeous, sexy - they don't come any better.
ReplyDeleteI'll be the odd man out here and go for Suzanne Summers. Always liked her and she still looks good.
