245 Years, We will not go quietly into the night.....

The following was sent in by TFI reader Ray. Thank you!

On this 4th of July, I urge you to take time to consider the 245 years that have passed since a group of brave souls banded together to declare their independence from Great Britain, then the greatest power on the earth, and begin to fight to establish the country that is today the US of A.

It is self evident that as with all things, unless maintained, the natural state of things is to decay and deteriorate into a state of chaos and ruin.  That is simply a natural state of things but when it is aided and encouraged by termites and roaches of the communist ilk, well then, unless forces are brought to bear to clean out the infestation, the destruction will be slow but sure.

I am forwarding on this post from a blog I read because I like a lot of what the author writes.  Her name is Sarah Hoyt.  Her forte is on the sci-fi front and I don't much care for that, but as a Portuguese immigrant with excellent writing skills, she conveys her messages well, especially when it comes to how she feels about her adopted country.

Maybe it has been awhile since you read the Declaration of Independence but if you take a look at it fresh, it would appear to match today what those brave souls where rebelling against so many years ago.  A government run amok, out of control, concerned only with itself, its growth in coffers and power and treating those paying into it like swine before the slaughter.  And now we are seeing them make bargains with our primary enemies abroad, and, well, the future does not look promising at all.

We can each do our part in "Standing our Ground."  Stand up for free speech against the social media types, get news from other than the Lame Stream Media who have sold out to Big Interests.  Stand up for Freedom of Religion which is being attacked every day around the country, and the world, especially the Christian faith.  Stand up for the Second Amendment.  We don't need no stinking right to bear arms to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government.  And despite what slo-Joe thinks, gun ownership is not primarily about hunting.

Our rights are being chipped away bit by bit.  Call me crazy, or agree with me.  But we cannot stand by and do nothing.

God bless America, the last best hope for freedom on this planet.  The forces of evil are on the march in a way never seen before in history.

Ray

The post at "According To Hoyt" starts:

On this occluded independence day, I beg you to read the declaration of independence.

I think it’s a mandatory religious observance for my fictional (mostly) USAians on their high holy holiday, but hey, it won’t hurt you either.

Most of all, remember you’re Americans. Remember the words that make men free and make tyrants quake.

It is our duty, our obligation and our very great privilege to make sure that in the next decade, in the next century, in the next millennium, on Earth or in the far flung stars the words carry on, liberty carries on, and tyrants are powerless against them.

Yes, the danger is great. And we must grow to meet it.

Go and light up the skies with fireworks, so we can see our flag by the rockets bursting in air.

Be not afraid.

  1. And for many good reasons the 13 colonies with drew their consent and thus began 8 long hard years of war as the Tyrant King George tried to keep his colonies under his thumb.

Read the Declaration of independence and ask yourself how many of those complaints are REAL TODAY.

But King George didn't control the mass media NOR did he have the mass surveillance of the Electronic Python that is squeezing our freedoms to death. Oh and the colonists were used to FEEDING themselves from the lands.

Oh and the French supplied the Revolution with cash, arms, and military support in the form of trained Generals and breaking the British Naval blockade with French Warships. OUR Revolution was a PROXY War for the French to weaken the British.

History shows no revolution succeeded with out outside support or as in Afghanistan they broke the British Empire, the USSR and NOW the USA by being SO stubborn and making their country SO UNPROFITABLE that they "won" by bloody attrition. And even there some outside support occurred.

Think about theses things and prepare to deal with these truths. If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.

Food is a weapon, electronic control of your money, credit, health care, employment, electricity to your home and business (Malware hack from Russia, Russia, Russia? Just an cover story).

Our forefathers pledged "Their Lives, Their Fortunes and Their Sacred Honor"

A storm is upon us. Nobody ever voted themselves out of genocide. Socialisms history is well known.

Pray for wisdom and make sure the trustworthiness of your "Friends". Because it IS your life and freedom they hold in their hands. Trusted friends are far more valuable than gold.

  3. Don't have to look far. I keep a copy of the Declaration Of Independence and the United States Constitution on my desk at all times. I was reading what the Constitution actually says to a guy at work once and was told that it was offensive. Well guess what, to certain types of people with a slave mentality it was meant to be offensive. There was a reason my Irish ancestors risked life and limb and faced poverty and social alienation to get here, to the land where no man has to bow. I also think about the fall of Vicksburg on July 4 1863. My Great Great Grandfather Thomas J. Higgins was there and won the Medal of Honor with the 99th Illinois Regiment fighting for freedom for all men. 4. Are there those among us who even understand "scared honor"? How many will stand together and understand the meaning of Benjamin Franklin's statement: "We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." The storm is indeed upon us and cannot be stopped for the time to perhaps turn the tide is long passed. We, those of us who just wished to be left alone, are to blame for allowing this decay and disease to fester unchecked for so long. But the time is coming when each of us must choose either to stand and by standing fight or forever live on our knees that is if we are even to be allowed to live. All I asked for was to be left alone to live my life and raise my family as I saw fit as my father did before me. In exchange for that I like my father have been willing to turn the other cheek at each seemly small abuse by those who were supposed to represent us. But that only brought further abuse, more taxation and more encroachments upon my rights and liberties. What TPTB do not understand is nothing in this world is more dangerous than the man who just wished to be left alone when he is pushed to the point where he believes that he has nothing more to lose and that time is soon upon us.

There is till time for "them" to stop the storm from cresting the ridge and descending upon us all. But as history has shown that will not happen for those who seek power only seek more power and those who want control are not happy until they believe they have achieved total control. They will not stop until they are forced to stop. In the past when confronted the enemies of liberty have been content to retreat a little and bide their time for their next assault on our freedoms. This time there can be no retreat for either side. There must be total victory for one side or the other. If we are truly to be allowed to be left alone to live as we see fit then the enemies of liberty must be vanquished once and for all.

Once that is done we must remember the words of Patrick Henry: "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined..." Not only remember those words but live by them each and every day going forward forever. It was in not doing so in the past that has brought us to this point of no return.

The good news is as I have tried to teach our children, God has a purpose and a plan for each and every one of us. It is our duty to search out that purpose and fulfill God's plan for us. Open your heart and pray and He will surely guide you. I believe we are alive in this place and time for a reason. May God's will be done as we put our trust in divine providence.

I am not alone. You are not alone. We are not alone. It is not the 4th of July. It is Independence Day

A slight language warning for the faint of heart.

  5. As in 1776, none of us can choose our place in history; only what we do with that position. The signers of the Declaration of Independence... and everyone who fought for that independence in whatever was their capacity, saw what needed to be done and did it. They knew the risk; to lose meant death to them all. Yet they did what they did, knowing they were a part of something much bigger than themselves, and that if they didn't do what they did, the future would suffer. WE, I dare say,... must now do the same...

  6. I even voice the dreaded I word.

Reinstatement. I think you'll be hearing it from a lot more voices as we go on.

  7. Many participants in the Jan. 6th protest have been arrested under the flimsiest charges and kept under questionable standards at best; the right says 'tut tut' and does nothing. Screwball D.A.s and AGs have been releasing the scum of the Earth all the while focusing of quashing legal behavior; the right says 'tut tut' and does nothing. Multiple governors have curtailed human rights (forget just plain citizen rights) and crushed economies under the guise of Covid; the right says 'tut tut' and does nothing. The military is actively forcing out the most capable soldiers because of 'wrong think'; the right says 'tut tut' and does nothing. Schools and teachers have been degrading education to the point where a high school diploma recipient today would be hard pressed to complete 8th grade in the 1950's; the right says 'tut tut' and does nothing. These are not the only examples, not by a long shout, but they are exemplary of some of the egregious pushes that have yet gone unchecked. Supposedly the right outnumbers the left wing loonies by at least 2:1 and yet they do nothing. I can only conclude that the right is filled with nothing more than squeamish sheep. "We will not go quietly into the night..."? None of the above would require violence to fix; a few strong words, volunteerism and the death of apathy could change this country's course from top to bottom in less than two years; and yet the right still cedes ground. I for one no longer feel I can support the right. Too many lions have been (and continue to be) shouted down by their own side rather than supported; too many have been dismissed because they dared speak what everyone else was whispering; too many have sacrificed any semblance of family and a normal life only to be actively thrown away lest they stand up for themselves. The right has shown they are nothing more than sheep and the leftists are salivating, shears in hand. I think all too many are starting to realize that there are few lions left and those that are may simply have gotten to the point where they'll sit back and watch instead. That's why I think there's so much anguish on the right; they've finally come to realize that they capitulated long ago and there are no other options but to try to convince as many sheep as they can to stop marching towards the slaughterhouse. The difference now is that the sheep see how fast the clock is ticking.
