My father would have flipped that car while smoking a Camel. Honey, where are the kids? Oh dear, they're okay. They are playing astronaut in the back seat.
Anon, you're just a kid. Smokes were 50 cent a pack, $3.85 a carton when I was in high school in the mid 70s. Of course, minimum wage was $2.25/hr. Big Mac value meal $2.15 with tax.
Drew458, 20 packs per carton X $0.50 per pack = $10 last I checked, how did you get $3.85? When I used to buy cartons for my folks, the discount for cartons was less than a dollar.
Probably the "Fishtail of Death" caught up with them. Oops. Been there, almost done that. Caught the rhythm just right and pulled out of it, thank goodness, because it was in the middle of I-15 just before the Salt Lake City rush hour! Darn near browned my Bermudas.
I'm surprised he hadn't fired up a Pall Mall already.

DeleteThanks for the morning laugh Pete. No seatbelts either!
DeleteI wish they still made Pall Mall non-filters. I used to smoke two and a half cartons a week, but that's when they were only $1.05 a pack.
