Hopefully someone got the poll worker's name. The rest of his info (address) can be sussed later. Then a good midnight visit to teach him the error of his ways. President Elect B Woodman
I voted in Lee county AL yesterday. No problems other than the shear number of people who were leaning hard for Trump. There was a palpable sense of I'm voting to save the Greatest Nation on Earth as there is nowhere else to run to vibe. To the family, sue the crap out of the head poll lady personally for denying your rights and make it a hate crime too. This crap has to stop. I wish there was video.
No, its been calm but it rained most of the day. Half of Lee county is the northern eastern edge of the Alabama black belt. Those counties went solidly blue. They elected Shamari Figures to congress. He's touted as a Dem rising star. The next black obama, comes from an AL political family. I was living in Chicago when Obama was annointed in 2004. 8 mos senator gives keynote speech at the DNC convention. Told wife he was the nominee in 2008 and will be cheated into the Whitehouse. She told me I was nuts. Watch Shamari in the news in 2026, the full groom should be going on then. The tell will be what committees hes on as a first term congress critter.
I watched that race and others. I never heard another peep about the incident. Who knows? My county, Winston, was the top percentile in the state (91.42%). Jeffery
I guess different states have different laws regarding campaign apparel. In SC, campaign apparel as well as political signs or buttons aren't allowed within 500 feet of a polling place.
But, be that as it may, this was obviously a Karen situation where by God, this family was gonna find out who was boss of this joint.
Tn is very clear: you must be, and prove you are a citizen to vote; and campaign material -which would include articles of clothing- cannot be worn or displayed closer than 100 feet of the polls. Now, OK, 100 feet is damn close (and boy howdy does everyone running have a sign out at 100.1 feet!), but at 99.9 feet you're done. Which means you don't see a lot of annoying t-shirts or hats.

ReplyDeletethings have changed. there was once a time when the difference between Nixon and Kennedy was minuscule
ReplyDeleteHmmm- I'd have called the police to arrest the Poll worker(s) for violation State law!
