ReplyDeleteany-mouse 3 posts up thinks it's from a video game!! Haha!! "Jet Packs!!" have been around for a while! I forget the name of the dude, but he flew from France across the channel to England !!!!!! Made it across at the narrow point... got across with not much fuel left, climbed up and popped his chute to land!! (The WING does NOT have WHEELS the chute is his landing gear!!!!!) This was a few years ago now!! BTW the .Mil has them in their trick bag too!!!!
When I started Skydiving in 1964 a milsurp. 28' "C-9" with what was called a "7-TU" mod. (2 panels and several holes at the base in the rear were cut out and taped!!) was the "JET PAC!!!" of the day!!!!!!
