The nerve of those white boys wearing blackface while they toil for a pittance. Where is BLM when you need them? Also, to all Veterans, especially those that gave all, Happy Veterans Day. To all Nam Vets, “Welcome Home”, something we never heard and were to proud to ask for. Semper Fi and “Uuurr…Rraahh”, I bellow.
My granddaddy on my daddy's side told me a lot of stories about working in the coal mines in the late 1920's and 30's, He told me when he started out his job was laying on his belly and shoveling coal to the man behind him all day long in a space that wasn't even tall enough to allow one to sit upright.
My paternal grandfather died of black lung at the age of 45 . It morphed into tuberculosis and grandpa had to live in the shed out in the back yard so his family wouldn't be infected . We enjoyed our Irish White privilege .
