Have You Seen Or Heard Of Byrna Non-Lethal?

 Byrna WEBSITE HERE<<

I was just introduced to this when I happened upon this video....

A definite WTF moment.

 From the video description:

******PLEASE READ****** This guy walks up to my house and proceeds to enter my home. Bad timing for him as I was sitting inside holding my new Byrna launcher. I refuse to live amongst criminals any longer. Time to take back our cities. Package thieves, Mail thieves, Lawn Ornament thieves, BEWARE. I will fight back! While my home may be open to friends and family, Others may want to KNOCK! Update: I have a Full arsenal of Lethal options. The Sheriff was called. The Noodled Intruder was spanked and released. It's California, You cannot hold or pursue anyone that is not an immediate threat. I am not losing all my worldly possessions for a tweaked out street wandering fool. I removed the threat with my Non-Lethal option. It was in my HAND! The door was just unlocked for my cousin to enter for dinner who arrived 2 minutes after this. I was sitting inside watching this fool walk up to my door. I thought he was going to knock. It honestly shocked me that he opened the door which you can hear very clearly. Sheriff said Misdemeanor Entry is all he could take him in for. He did say, "you would have been within your rights to unload any weapon on him in this situation prior to leaving the house". Once you start pursuing, it changes everything.

  1. I am the training coordinator for a civilian group that teaches first aid, self defense, and firearms training. One of our female members recently bought a Bryna pistol (same as the one in the video). We are going to put on a practical demonstration with me playing the part of the attacker in order to determine real world effectiveness.

I will update you once we do this and maybe even send video of the demonstration if you are interested.

  2. I would caution anyone with perhaps the exception of those who live in communist states that do not allow firearms carry or place extreme restrictions on them. The Byrna is classified as a dangerous weapon. As such, anyone who feels threatened by the use of them can legally use lethal force to protect themselves and others. Brandishing one of these Byrna "launchers" is a VERY good way to get yourself shot, killed, or severely injured. If you feel that your safety is threatened enough to use the Byrna, then you are in fear for you life or in fear of eminent physical jeopardy justifying the use of lethal force (aka a firearm). As for myself, I would rather be tried by 12 jurors than carried by 6 pawl bearers to my grave for burial. Pay VERY close attention to how this ineffective piece of junk is marketed as the Byrna HD (home defense) Pull out a Byrna in a public place to protect yourself and the other guy pulls out a REAL firearm........let's see how that scenario turns out??? Yes, those pepper/tear gas balls are not pleasant........but they are NOT incapacitating either. If crap like this really worked, the cops would use it more often.

  3. From what happened, he could have been "stopped" with an Airsoft pistol. I expected to actually see something. I am not familiar with the Bryna or what it does, but what I saw was a whole lot of nothing. Hearing shots from inside the house and seeing a very bloody scumbag stagger out and drop on the front porch would have made for a better video in my humble opinion. This guy will be doing this to someone else down the block in the near future.

  4. I'm not sure what the point of that video is in regards to promoting Bryna. Any other air soft gun would have accomplished the same thing. It's not like he had to use it. I read about these a couple years ago and after thinking about it for a while I've decided if you're going to use it at home, it's probably a good idea. For a carry weapon, not so much. I'm thinking the vast majority of people that would end up carrying one of these will have never gone through a ccw course or received any type of tactical training and sooner of later they will end up "brandishing" the weapon resulting in them getting shot by a bad guy or LE.

  5. You remember that demonstration in Denver where a fake reporter was causing problems but he had a hired bodyguard. One of the demonstrators got into an argument with the reporter and the body guard got pushy and also drew his gun. The demonstrator was 10-15 feet away and used a tiny pepper spray device to get him to stay back and the body guard shot him dead. Later, the courts decided it was self defense and he faced no charges. THAT is the problem with non-lethal defense. If I were licensed to conceal carry and someone pulled one of these on me without reason and especially if they fired it at me I would return fire.

  6. My LGS has switched over to these. I asked , and they told me there was a significant insurance savings over everyone carrying a regular firearm.

  7. from my experience, "non lethal" alternatives don't work on certain people...especially if they have been self medicating on who knows what...it's basically like pepper balls...just a diff company...just like tasers don't always work...guns don't always work...shot placement is crucial for stopping a threat intent on killing you...if you don't have a choice, you need to train with it, know what it might do to you...if it puts you out of the fight and not him...well, shit happens...

  8. Not good enough for me. Probably very little effect on a heavily tweaked tweaker.

  9. Fuck that...if I have to shoot someone, which I would have the second his tweaked melon crossed the threshold of my door, I wanna see blood, brains and guts and I want the bitch DEAD.

  10. I prefer .45 ACP. Proven effectiveness.

  11. As a retired LEO, this Bryna, Woke, Leftist piece of shit will only get you killed. Another gimmick to replace deadly force when needed. The video is a mock setup to promote the sale of this sissified pussy stun gun. It's only a pepper spray projectile ... big F'n deal. Get a real gun! Shoot them with real lead and hollow points. Case closed.

  12. Yet another example of why Kookafornia is the most effed up place in the world. Misdemeanor entry. What a crock ot Kookafornia bullshit. Lock the prick up for 20 years and until his asshole looks like the Eisenhower tunnel.

    1. Someone attempted to carjack a friend in California. Since he wasn't able to get her out of the car, the cops refused to even take a report. They said if the DA isn't going to prosecute, why waste their time? Of course this also makes the crime stats for the city look better as well.

  13. Why did the homeowner call the sheriff? Never invite the "man" into your life. The three S method should have been implemented.

  14. Probably a good product for people that cannot or will not carry a real gun. I'm sure that after a few "thuggy boys" go crying to Mommy, the Dems will get to work on making these illegal.

  15. Heh, he let the scumbag leave with all his shit. How generous.....

  16. I watch the promotional. I'm thinking that a good slingshot would be just as effective, if not more so, and a whole lot cheeper.

  18. Is there a pressure gauge on these things? How do you know if a seal has failed and allowed the CO2 to discharge? Pick it up to use for defense and the gas has leaked out. Liable to find that thing stuffed where the sun don't shine.
