  1. 2+ minute commercial lead-in kind of kills the mood. Time to ditch yutube.

  8. I very rarely listen to anything Fleetwood Mac did after 1971 when Peter Green's problems started and he left the band. They started playing pretty much "pop" music and dropped the blues.

  9. 1) Stevie Nicks has a singular voice that cut through an entire generation. She is inimitable.

    2) Lanie Gardner absolutely does not sing this "just like Stevie", let alone "better than". Please. It's not even close, unless you're Marlee Matlin.

    3) That settled, Gardner has an absolutely phenomenal singing talent, a great voice, and this is the best cover I've ever heard of the song, by a country mile. And her casual smolder on the vid is money in the bank. This vid was a star being launched.

    4) She needs to be singing her own stuff, or other people's new material. That's why this cover got her signed to a record deal within about 10 minutes. And given that Gardner's 21, while Stevie is 74 today (she was just a few years older than Gardner is now when she laid down "Dreams" in '76), Nicks should start pushing all her unrecorded works at Gardner with both hands.

    5) Warner Bros. and Nicks should both be pushing to have Gardner sing this in the studio to the master cuts of FM playing "Dreams" (the Mac's only Number 1 hit, ever), and leaving Stevie's backup vocal tracks right where they are. The garage band mixtape version she sang to does not compare favorably with John, Mick, Christie, and Lindsey's actual analog original musicianship. It's the difference between Dom Perignon, and Boone's Farm. Re-release the single with Gardner's lead vocal: Gold record, right there, and everybody makes money.

    1. I must be Marlee Matlin.
No offense but that deserved a response. To each, right?

  10. A time when music actually created a misty atmoshpere to enjoy conversation or a moon-filled night. Today's rapper music is more like the warden announcing, "Ready, set, GO! RAPE ANYTHING & EVERYTHING."

  11. Lanie, Aesop said it right. You have an amazing voice and confidence that is going take you everywhere. Working with you was very easy and pleasant experience. I really agree that, if Stevie has any unrecorded work or anything(really); you are someone who will do whatever it is, all the justice in the world. Don't let anyone's criticism or otherwise, get you down. Just remember: it's a little lonely at the top. But those who stick around or are with you (at the top), that's who you need. 🤩
