An Observation

Very rarely do I have the time or inclination to sit and watch TV. I may crash on the couch and it's on in the background but I'm not really engaged. I can't stand the pablum they broadcast as "shows" or the social justice annoying commercials.

Last night as I sat there scrolling my phone I started noticing the commercials a little more closely. Every one, it seemed, had to do with the "rona".  Stay Home, At Home You're Safe, You Can Safely Shop From Home, We're With You... Jeez, it's almost like they ....want.... me... to.....

Think about it, how many people are in their homes, around the country, being exposed 24/7 to the "Tell a vision"? ( forgot where I saw that) and the constant bombardment of this?
 It's a bit disconcerning.

Over the next few nights, if life allows, I will grab a notebook and try and document some of the blatant ones.

Stay safe.

  2. The SJW commercials are definitely annoying, when I see the Surgeon General or Dr. Brix open their mouths I cringe. It's disgusting actually.

    1. You want to feel your blood pressure rise go watch the Canadian version of dr. Brix. Look up Dr. Theresa Tam for insite into why the CMO should not be a diversity hire.

  3. I have noticed the same. A couple of thoughts; I for one am getting sick of businesses "getting on the bandwagon" and schmoozing me with how much they "care". Forced empathy is unseemly.
The collective consciousness is now at a stage of deterioration.........(that's it, no piquant, subtle meaning)

    1. That and the references to, THE NEW NORMAL.
This is not normal, nor should it ever be accepted as such.

As I mentioned to Tony in 'Toga.
You can't see it yet, but you can almost feel and hear it.
The sound of Jack Boots and armor in the streets.

  4. One of my favorite movies before hollyweird went completely batshit. It was very Orwellian.

  6. When I watch TV, I've been seeing old westerns and TV programs on GRIT TV.
Tales of Wells Fargo, Death Valley Days, Wagon Train, love that stuff, and not many other channels show that stuff anymore.Sick of the constant drizzle of cop shows and 'reality programs for idiots' everywhere else.

  8. Well,my name says it all. I don't follow orders very well and I'm too old to start now.
If I die, then it's on MY term because of MY actions. I don't need, nor want, government/mass media wiping my ass. I'll do as I please and live my live the way I see fit.

  9. Of course the sane and wise liberal class fear this virus more. As it could disproportionally affect them more so than the deplorable's out in the sticks. It's really a crises for the big cities and hence, the liberals.

  10. I like to refer to the boob tube as Tell-Lie-Vision. I rarely turn mine on anymore either unless it's to watch a documentary type program.

  11. Noticed this for a couple weeks now. It keeps increasing. Insane..... I told my wife I need to create a video with cuts from all the commercials, news orgs (FOX made one too), and of course our "illustrious rulers" and then add in between each one a cut of the scene from the movie Knight and Day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTJV7vYs9pc&t=1m27s
