I used to do that kind of shit until I scared myself out of that sport. My brother might have died, had the chock I placed, when he fell, failed. But it held! That right there scared the crap outta me. It was on Father's day too. and Dad was at the base of that south face of Pilot rock, and saw the whole thing. Like Clint Eastwood said, "A man's gotta know his limitations". And now I'm 60 something, and know I went to the edge. Now I'm just a grumpy half crippled asshole.
Fuck that. Now I need more to drink.
