It comes as no surprise to me and gives me a certain feeling of satisfaction. The reason I wrote that last is because, in my opinion, teachers in many parts of the USA were greatly responsible for having laws enacted that prevented parents from using almost any level of physical force to discipline their own children. I think that teachers, in general, have been trying to take over in place of parents, for at least the past few decades in this country. So, what they have deemed as good enough restrictions on parents, should be deemed as also applying to themselves in the classroom.

ReplyDeleteI am with Glenn B here, and I have to add...you put your hands on my child...we have a major problem...I have a contact number...use it...now, if my child was using force against you...you must defend yourself...but you don't initiate contact, or I will. I worked for a school district for 10 years....eating a piece of candy is not a disruption of classroom, it may be defiance of the rules of the class...which made her ANGRY...not acceptable.
