An absolutely amazing movie. 10 minutes in and you'll see why many are already trying to actively ban this movie on every platform, especially throughout the EU. It's not just the libs that will hate this but the establishment types and the "I'll write another OpEd ,that'll so 'em" boomers as well. ReplyDeleteFirst,while worth a watch a lot of missteps in movie/security lapses wide a the gran canyon etc.
That said,a great message and pissing off a lot of the folks I like to see pissed so worth it for me!
You have a rainy night/chores done/no new books give it a watch but do not expect cinematic greatness!
On reviewer who despite flaws did like it said the movie had the cinematic grace of a raccoon stuck in a dumpster....,epic!

No, you weren't. I had a similar reaction. It went from holy fuck to fuck yeah in a micro second. That scene was the whole point of the film.
DeleteAs to the Vox article, in particular the situation in England with former PM Starmer resigning; if he's not prosecuted for dereliction in failure to prosecute the Muslims who were raping England's girls, there's no hope for rule of law there in the future.
Then there's the Police who not only poopoo'd the girls reports of rape, they even reportedly facilitated further rapes, according to the Rape Report published last week.
This is what happens when a government no longer fears its people and the people didn't storm Parliament and hang the legislators that passed the law disarming them.

ReplyDeleteThe politicians etc. are fine with rising crime and criminals being killed - they can claim "extreme right wing" types did it and can then introduce more restrictions and crack downs on law abiding people and eliminate their freedoms - but when their necks are on the block, well, that's a threat to democracy and the way of life of the entire country, isn't it? Diversity for thee but not for me.
ReplyDeleteThat film might just give people ideas about where the problem lies and make them realise that maybe voting harder for more of the same won't fix things so another approach is needed. Which would be ... Answers on the back of a postcard to the usual address.
And Elon Musk is my hero for posting it on X for free and bypassing (for the moment) the bans and restrictions.
