A current day "Death Wish" similarity:
Banned in Germany, the home of the director.
The film follows an ordinary man (played by Hammer) who, enraged by the perceived breakdown of law, order, and systemic failure, delivers violent vigilante justice to criminals and corrupt officials

Post about the movie here at VOXDAY
H/t to NEMO
An absolutely amazing movie. 10 minutes in and you'll see why many are already trying to actively ban this movie on every platform, especially throughout the EU. It's not just the libs that will hate this but the establishment types and the "I'll write another OpEd ,that'll so 'em" boomers as well. VoxDay has a pretty solid take: https://voxday.net/2026/06/26/its-too-late-now/
ReplyDeleteI watched on a free streaming site a few days earlier.
ReplyDeleteFirst, while worth a watch a lot of missteps in movie/security lapses wide a the gran canyon etc.
That said,a great message and pissing off a lot of the folks I like to see pissed so worth it for me!
You have a rainy night/chores done/no new books give it a watch but do not expect cinematic greatness!
On reviewer who despite flaws did like it said the movie had the cinematic grace of a raccoon stuck in a dumpster....,epic!
A decent short flick. Shocking, I'm sure, to the usually shocked
ReplyDeleteThe lead character is only doing what, I think, any of us would do were our daughter a victim.
Thank you Elon! Thank you Irish! Spread it far and wide!
