Understatement of the year. I really had a lot more hope a couple of years ago, but it's astounding how many blindly followed the dumbness. We're fucked.
Amen. He is a lifelong NY Democrat and people think he magically changed. Sweet Jesus, how slow you gotta be to believe that? The New York Grifter, lmao
I read it as the election and presidency of Trump exposed a lot of people for who they are. The rabid became ever more unstabilzed, viciously acting out on sheer emotion. That is the true legacy of the Trump presidency.
That he was lead by those he trusted to appoint the wrong people into power is to a lesser extent.
Hey anon 7:00 PM; I think you are missing the point of the meme unless you are a troll. It is not Trump who was exposed; it was the RINOs and citizens who "claimed" to be tolerant middle-of -road people.
Mitch McConnell and Mitt Romney are RINOs. There are plenty others of course, but felt the need to set the standard. Trump was not really a Demoncrat or a Republican. He was a businessman who knew how to play the game, and in NY and the American NE, that means to act like a Democrat. Was/is he the ideal candidate? No. Would he be a friend of mine? No. But he did raise the level of awareness when he exposed the swamp and media. I appreciate that. He was a touch too much of a populist and wanted to spend on probably too many things, but the tax revenue that followed, even in the wake of lower brackets, was historic. He did apparently trust the wrong people and some of his appointments were questionable. He also underestimated the power of the deep state. But he did one thing for sure; he brought back the fighting pride of patriots like many on this very site. His MAGA slogan MAGA was not just words; it was a feeling that many of us have. This country needs to embrace meritocracy. Despite the howls from the left, meritocracy doe not equal racism. Anon, if you love this country like I do, then we are on the same side but just disagree on the person. I can live with that.
For me, it was NOT a significant number of friends either. Prior to Trump, I knew who was R vs D in my circle (not that there is a huge difference between the two actual parties). What was exposed, however, was the blatant hypocrisy in how they led their lives, and how radical they became when Trump exposed the Democratic leaders for what they really are (communists).
I had a very liberal GF, who prior to Trump was able to keep her crazy hidden and so we were able to get along pretty well. I wasn't a big Trump fan personally, but I liked his America First policies. While we had political disagreements, they weren't pegging the idiot meter. Once Trump was elected, she lost her mind. We disagreed about almost everything, as before, but suddenly I was a "racist," a "white supremacist," "treasonous," a "misogynist.". She fell hook-line-and-sinker for the Russian Collusion scam, and every time Rachel Maddow said Trump was about to be arrested. I moved away three years ago, and haven't seen her in over a year now, and my life is much more serene. She still is TDS-crazy ... when the Mar-a-Lago FBI raid hapened, she was texting all about how there were nuclear launch code secrets among the seized documents. Just like her to fall for all those moronic rumors being pushed by the mainstream media to try to railroad Trump. They keep trying to stir up the mobs to go after Trump with lies, and then when it fails, mope around and look for something else to lie about.
Anyway, it was a shame; she was pretty good in bed. But my life is better without her.
I sent this to Irish not for a post or credit. There are thousands out there with opinions of trump on both sides. What pissed me off after the fact was operation warp speed and his signing of the first of many trillion dollar spending bills. Think about when, can you tell me the last bill that was vetoed?
jimmy carter is going to die soon. Long ago I quit running my flag to half mast for politicians and many other people.
There are more like us than them just not enough with nothing left to lose to do anything about it. I believe a power vacuum has been developing among the oligarch/cabal/deep state, what ever you want to call it. I have seen various numbers over the years that range from 3 -15 percent of the population actually fought in the revolutionary war. I think that would still be enough today. Yes they received support just like our current military does but we would receive the same support when the time comes because their support resides in the Big Cities and have made very little preparations.
Had a thought yesterday. I think it would be hilarious if bidet fell by the wayside and they were forced to make kameltoe president. The power vacuum would be epic watching them fight over who's the boss. To me the entertainment value would be even more epic.
What would be even more epic entertainment would be the cage match over who would be the new Veep that was going to replace Kamala/be the Dems 2024 nominee.
I'm hoping not. That's the fastest way to get Hitlery into the Oval Office. Kameltoe would resign within a week of appointing her VP and thus elevating the evil one. Not that it would make much difference with the way Obutthead has his hand up Brandon's backside. If it's gonna happen let them all go until it at least gets to McCarthy.
The stupid times are upon us. The Deep State is counting on an illiterate, incompetent and somnambulant population to win. I'd bet with them.

DeleteI see that so often among the rebels that I think it is their battle cry.
Maybe you buddy. But not me.

DeleteUh, no. NOT significant number of friends. 1 or 2 we can't avoid is more accurate.
ReplyDeleteLucky you. But listen to the rest of us.
DeleteIt will be interesting as the people who can make and run stuff retire or pass on, how the people who arranged for this population get by with them.
ReplyDeleteHow did we not get a Raquel Welch passing post herer? I mean really.
