  1. Buckethead! A true virtuoso who can melt your face with his shredding or play with great emotion and feel as evidenced by the posted song.

    Great stuff!

  2. Man, your rep just got elevated in my book with this selection. Been playing guitar for 52 years, and of all the stuff out there, BH is still at the top of my "close the door, light up the Marshall and Les Paul, and drive the wife and neighbors nuts"!

  3. If you have Buckethead in your playlist, you probably have Neil Zaza, if not check him out.

  4. Sometimes a feeling can be communicated without words. BJs work like that also. ;)

  6. "Brian Patrick Carroll, better known by his stage name Buckethead, is a guitarist and multi instrumentalist who has worked within several genres of music. He has released 47 studio albums, four special releases and one EP. He has performed on over 50 more albums by other artists."

I entered my 75th year on this seemingly GOD-forsaken planet last week. Among favorite bands and performers I rank Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers (with Duane) and Lynyrd Skynyrd (Confederate flag era), and The Incredible String Band (!) in my all-time Top Ten. Never heard of Buckethead! Thank you VERY much for the post. I shall listen again and pursue his work, now that I have met his acquaintance.

    1. Alan, look up Airbag a Norwegian band. If you are a Floyd fan you will love them:

      Here's one of their albums

    2. Thank you again! You are so right. Imitation and flattery may go hand in hand AND Airbag carries on with obvious deep appreciation and respect -- along with the requisite skills! -- the legacy of Pink Floyd founders and foot soldiers, Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, and David Gilmour to name three.

Between Buckethead and Airbag -- also Anathema, which I saw mentioned frequently in this context -- I shall have decent music accompaniment during years remaining to me. Mucho gracias!!
