The top blonde is Thordis Brandt. She was a German actress who sometimes played roles on the old Hogan's Heroes sitcom. She was also married to Bruce Lee. The bottom actress played a minor role in the 1967 film (The Dirty Dozen). She was the mistress of a German officer who was stabbed by Maggot (Telly Savalas). They were all beauties back in the day. Sadly, they are dead or very old these days. I thought it would be funny to put up a few vintage actresses who had roles as German women in the 60's and 70's and then save the "eye candy" video Alan sent to me for last. Maybe, I should reverse them. LOL
After DoubleAughtWhatshisface made the scene, gorgeous furriners were in heavy demand. They're rerunning the first season of Wild Wild West on cable and you get a look at some old familiar faces from your teen years.
Ingrid Pitt and Mary Ure are both gone. Thordis Brandt was Mister Dillon's main squeeze in the middle 60s.
I loved both Ingrid and Mary in "Where Eagles Dare". I could never decide between the two. Might have to give a slight edge to Ingrid Pitt just because of her roles in Hammer Films.......
Ach, himmel! One of my fave pubs here abouts is Die Bierstube in the Roosevelt district. They serve only German-made biers, in the proper glassware. Like everyone, they are having a bit of a time with all the restrictions, even with a nice new outdoor seating area. However, if the boss hired some of the ladies in the video... well, I imagine there would be lines every day...Prost!
Surprising, but enjoyable. Do not know much (read very little) German, but 'das goot'!
ReplyDeleteI believe it's, "zer gut", but all the German I know I learned from Captain Dietrich in Tunisia.
Delete'das goot" - oh boy, make that "Das ist good" or "this is good". EDutcher: "sehr gut" means "very good"
Delete0:44. Oh my Lord!
ReplyDeleteMany a German army gave their all for a sip of that.
DeleteNow we know why beer comes in tuns.
DeleteProsit!
ReplyDeleteI recognize Ingrid Pitt (she was a knockout), Mare Ure (wife of Robert Shaw), and Sigrid Valdis.
ReplyDeleteThe other two I can't place although the last looks familiar.
Nice!!
DeleteLove Oktoberfest season, and appreciate the share. Have been to Munich Oktoberfest, and sadly saw nothing as shown in the NSFW category.
