Yeah, these commercials are annoying, especially the “We’re all in this together” bullshit. No, we are NOT “all in this together”. Now, kindly get the fear-mongering, mask-wearing, “social-distancing” scolds out of the way and let my country recover. We will come back from this manufactured “pandemic” and get back to leading the world’s economies. God Bless Donald Trump and God Bless America!
We've already seen some indications we're not. Most of us want out, but the Lefties at state and local level, as well as a lot of PC types running some of the corporations, are on the other side.
I too am tired of the psa's and so agree with you hobo...I cringe every time one of those damn things comes on. The we're "all in this together" is probably the biggest reason, we have all of the Karen's out in force. No one but me is responsible for my safety, and far too many people can't get it through their head, that if you feel that you're safer stay home and let those of us who aren't afraid, go on with our lives.
It's gotten to the point that I'm keeping a list of the companies that use this tone.....and I may not buy anything from them. They won't feel the loss of my few shekels but I don't care.
Ironically there was a startup called pnmic.org a few years back now gone. Pnmic stood for Proudly Not Made In China. How well would they have done now!
Maybe a dedicated thread for pics from businesses not engaging in the cv-19 bs?
I started thinking of doing a video like this a few days ago, but two problems. First, I don't have the software, and second, I'd have to watch the frackin' commercials even more than I do now and I can't stand it!!!
The one "good" meme I've seen of late is one NPC character lecturing another about wearing a mask at all times whether you think you need to or not. The NPC getting the lecture responds with "oh, you mean like carrying a gun"?
Sent this over here http://www.commercialsihate.com/sounding-the-same_topic28769_post418046.html#418046 They pick this shit and other obnoxious commercials apart.
Psycho-Social Conditioning. Pattern is low freq bass line, under images of empty places to raise feelings of abandonment, then message of special importance directed at generic you, background music goes up tempo and frequency and people appear in the frame, then messages of hope that we (the industrial company), are "in this together", background music goes bright and bubbly, more people with open body language, final tag line from company or gov't entity that paid for it.
The hidden persuaders, don't fall for it, they lie en mass. Push back with reasoning and logic, follow the money, cui bono.

DeleteWhen Rush first started, a lot of people realized a) they weren't alone and b) they weren't crazy.
You may have a lot more friends out there than you may think.

ReplyDeleteYeah, the similar commercials started about 2 moths ago, the same time that the "Health Care Workers are Heroes" meme began.
ReplyDeleteAnd it happened nearly EVERYWHERE at the same time.
I posted on it then, and it has gotten even moreso since then.
Strange, almost as if it were an experiment in Social Control.
Well, the nurses and the EMTs were there before and people respected them.
DeleteWhen it gets all Third Reich with the Parade of the Workers is when I check out.
