There is nothing in particular. The industrial park that my business is in his various companies and I see all three different makes of trucks driving in and out. When I ask them which one they prefer each one has their own reason why they like the truck they drive. It was just a poll to see what my readers thought :-)
Having owned or driven all three, I gotta wonder if those folks voting ford are like Democrats.....loyal even though they've never tried anything else.
Nothing wrong with any of them, really. They do what they are supposed to do....Haul. The GM 's have more goodies, the Dodge diesels are better, and the fords ride rougher.
Having said that, you can't really go wrong with any of them.
Big fan of the Cummins engine but Ford makes an awful nice truck and the Chevys are a joy to drive. If I could get a Cummins in a different "wrapper", I'd do it in a heartbeat.
If you want a truck remember this, chevys are for racing, fords are for pulling! 9 out of 10 race teams use fords (dirt tracking)..........and like all internet polls this one is false too!!!
Don't know about 3/4 ton but having owned a 1/2 ton F150 since I bought it new in 1999 I can tell you I'll never touch another Ford product again as long as I live. The list of things that have failed is too long to include here. What a piece of crap. It's really annoying too because I like the truck - power, performance, handling, egonomics, etc.
I have a 91 Gen 1 Cummins Dodge 4x4 with about 300k on it. I swear I could tow a broke down Kenworth with it and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING.
ReplyDeleteBailouts.
ReplyDeleteNever forget.
The real question is what are you wanting to do with this truck. C F D. doesn't really matter. Like women its a personal preference.

DeleteThat's funny, I would have said the same about Chevy drivers.
