This occurred about 6:15 yesterday morning. I had just looked outside and across the lake. Everything was glowing orange (sky, water, etc.). I texted my wife and asked her if she had seen the "redness". She was sending me that photo. The road going from our house is basically a "farm to market" two lane with little traffic. She told me two other cars had pulled over to take pictures. Northwest Alabama was scheduled to have some hail and thunderstorms yesterday and parts did. We did not. We've all heard the old saying "red in morn, sailor take warn" and "red at night, sailor's delight" (or substitute farmer for sailor). In this case, it was very true. My wife also took a video. If I can think to post it, I will.
amazing...
