  2. "Ticking Away The Moments That Make Up A Dog Day"

If you'd asked me 5 minutes ago, I would have sworn it was "Dog Day". That's what I've been hearing for decades.

    Funny.

  3. I haven't heard that argument made in over 30 years. The last time was from some Jehovah's Witnesses that came to my door to convince me that time was running out. Of course, they were wrong. And there are plenty of people who never look at their watch. They are called "homeless". people with jobs, need alarm clocks. People with mortgages and other bills to pay need calendars, in the same way that people with feet need shoes. Obviously deer don't need all those things. And every year a sizable part of the deer population dies from starvation every winter. Timekeeping permits coordinated effort. It is part of the basic fabric of civilization. Without it, we revert to hunting and gathering with no more connection to the cycles of the Earth than a haunting fear than "winter is coming".
I find is amusing that every couple of years some hippy will remind us all that a simple life is less stressful, as if he is the first person to ever think that thought. No thanks. I like things the way they are.
