Now THAT is a big ass......

♫♫ Lets Get The Blood Flowing....♫♫

The Managerial State’s Media and Medical Lapdogs

A headline on the Huffington Post blared: "Comfort Dogs Sent To Newtown From Chicago Area To Help Community After Sandy Hook Shooting." CNN’s top dog Anderson Cooper followed – or led the pack; who cares? – with a similar segment about insourcing dogs to comfort the afflicted community of Newtown, Conn.
One day after the massacre of 20 children and seven adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School, "a group of golden retrievers from the Chicago area made a cross-country journey to … Newtown."
Woof, woof, or barf, barf?
Are there no companion dogs in Newtown, Conn.? Must expert dogs be brought in to properly minister to the mourners? Apparently so. Even the neighborhood dog is now unqualified for the big time.

Can "It" Be Stopped...

("it" being the direction this country is going.)

I hope you get the gist of my thoughts here. I was journeying through the deep thought section of my brain last night ( I don't do it often because it hurts) during my nightly hour or so of insomnia.

We, at least half of us if not more, of the country, believe we are headed in the wrong direction. Everyday the news is filled with negative stories about things that are detrimental to the future survival of this country as we know it. I understand that this is what sells and they do it for profit but still it is there and it is in the news. Then the bloggers that pay attention and try and get the information out there post the stories on their sites and we all read them and share them. One recent one is all the pork in the Hurricane Sandy BillThis one example shows that it's business as usual at the government. The other one which is much more in our face is the horrible tragedy in CT at the school. The first thing they do is make it about guns and the need to take them away. It will be the same after the next mass shooting. Other items that always are being written about are: The Debt, Fiscal Cliff, Unemployment, TSA, Obamacare, Obama this and Obama that, EPA,  Islam, Radical Muslims, Iran, Israel, Syria, Lybia, Greece.......etc. etc. etc.

I can go on and on but I think you understand.

The past is the past, there is nothing that can be done except to learn from it and hopefully not repeat the things that were wrong. Again, many millions of us feel that "something" is coming. We have all read the stories about gun sales. What does that one thing tell us?

Now to my point. Can "it" be stopped? What will it take?  I have already been reading articles that the midterm elections are needed to stop this. So another couple years of waiting to see what happens. The left is going to want more power and Right will try and stop it. What happens when we wake up on the morning of those elections and it's not what we expected?
At that point another 2 years will have gone by, there will be more mass shootings, unemployment, terrorist attacks, most likely major war, and more and more of the fiscal crisis.

Then do we start to talk about 2016 elections? How many more rights will be lost by then?

It seems that there is no way to stop this on a large scale. The people that are too busy "pulling the wagon" are being crushed under the burden of trying to provide, while the people "riding in the wagon" are voting to keep their seats. This can't continue. Sooner or later the wagon will
not be able to be pulled and it will stop.

How do we fight against the liberal media? The libtards in Hollyweird? and the libtard entertainers?  I chose to turn them off and not watch them but millions of others hang on their every word.

It seems no matter what happens it is inevitable that we are headed for the Iceberg.

Can anything make direction change? How or what will it take? The complicit media shovels shit to the sheeple and tens of millions are getting handouts from "Uncle Sugar". It can't continue like this. Since the future is always an unknown I guess we will have to wait and see what it brings.

Meanwhile there will always be a beautiful sunrise somewhere:

Neat Pictures of Volcanic Plugs....

A volcanic plug, also called a volcanic neck, is a volcanic landform created when magma hardens within a vent on an active volcano. A natural monolith is a mountain or large rock formation consisting of a single massive stone. Both types of these geological structures are similar in that they are often steeply rising above the surrounding terrain. The unusual appearance and the buildings which are often located on these structures, amaze visitors and attract them to come back again.

Happy Winter Solstice...

It appears the world didn't end over night. I guess that's a good thing given the fact that I still
have to finish up some year end work for my customers. Once that's done I'll have no problem with whatever the end of the Mayan calendar had meant. Maybe they just ran out of space on the stone they were carving it on?

Those Dirty Little Mutterfarkers......................

I leave my cast iron pan with my bacon grease stored on the grill at work. Today is going to be steak and spinach salad for lunch. I went over to light the grill and when I opened the lid to move the pan what to my wondering eyes should appear?

It seems that some fuzzy little rodent has taken a liking to MY Bacon grease!!!

He just signed his own death certificate....

IF you look closely you can see the teeth marks around the edge and there is one paw print.

The Human brain is such an amazing thing

My mother has this poem on a plaque in the bathroom at home. It's been there for as long as I can remember. I know that every once in awhile I would stop to read it

I haven't thought about it in a long time but this morning I woke to my mind reciting it verbatim. What ever prompted those memory cells I have no idea.....

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

A MUCH Better "Wilson".......

The liberal media fellatio is unprecedented and shameless.

“He’s basically the beneficiary and the author of a kind of a New America, a new demographic, a new cultural America that he is now the symbol of,” Stengel said.

Really?  So being the face of massive debt, food stamps, home foreclosures, massive unemployment, doing nothing when your ambassador, and fellow countrymen are gunned down in a foreign land, bailing out unions,  fighting small business, and pitting classes of people against each other, rich vs poor. Is a good thing to be?  WTF?  The commie won by 50.2% to 49.8%.  Liberal a-holes.

I have been dealing with some upper chest discomfort for the past few weeks. It has been like a toothache, kinda there and in the background. I finally decided to make a Dr's appointment the other day to make sure all is hopefully ok. I sure as hell pay enough every month for health insurance so I might as well use it.

One of the things, hopefully, that might be the cause is the Lisinopril I am taking for mild hypertension. I am on a very low dose as of the past 8 months to help alleviate my rising blood pressure.. ain't old age great? One good thing is that I have been walking and dieting so my blood pressure is down and my Dr. said I CAN go off the meds. I hate being on pharmaceuticals.

Needless to say when you google the side affects there are all kinds of issues that could be caused by this drug. Also, everything you type into google causes cancer. I found that out too. "Dry Cough" CANCER! "Chest Ache" CANCER! "Stubbed Toe" CANCER. What the hell?

Anyway, getting on with the story. Yesterday morning I had an appointment for chest xray and upper GI test for my esophagus and small intestine. The xray was for my lungs and brochial passages That was easy but the upper GI was a little more involved. They give you 3 paper cups full of Barium Sulfide  ( white liquid chalk ) and as you drink it they monitor your swallowing and filling of the stomache. After that you have to walk around for 15 minutes as it travels through your small intestine.  It took about 45 minutes for the "liquid chalk" to make its way to the end of the line and every 15 minutes they took images.  I really didn't mind the stuff. I guess it's more important to make sure all is well.

I was surprised that I wasn't hungry after all this. The test requires that you fast from the night before until after your test. I ended up fasting for the rest of the day and it didn't really bother me.

This leads us to this morning.................

Good Humpday Morning....

Old Farts.......

I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only old fart receiving it. Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see. Old Farts are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem. Old Farts remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment.  They know the words and believe in them.

Old Farts remember World War II, Pearl Harbor,  Guadalcanal , Normandy  and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to now, not to mention Vietnam, Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan .

If you bump into an Old Fart on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Fart on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old Farts want to trust strangers and are courtly to women.

Old Farts hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.

Old Farts get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like much filth or dirty language on TV or in movies.

Many Old Farts have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren.

It's the Old Farts who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.

This country needs Old Farts with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values.

We need them now more than ever.

Thank God for Old Farts!

I was taught to respect my elders.
It's just getting harder to find them.

Christmas at The Pearly Gates...

Three men die in a car accident Christmas Eve. They all find themselves at the pearly gates waiting to enter Heaven. On entering they must present something "Christmassy".
The first man searches his pocket, and finds some Mistletoe, so he is allowed in.
The second man presents a nutcracker, so he is also allowed in.
The third man pulls out a pair of panties.
Confused at this last gesture, St. Peter asks, "How do these represent Christmas?"
The third man answered "They're Carol's."

Thinking the Unthinkable

In the wake of another horrific national tragedy, it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.
Three days before 20 year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother, then opened fire on a classroom full of Connecticut kindergartners, my 13-year old son Michael (name changed) missed his bus because he was wearing the wrong color pants.

“I can wear these pants,” he said, his tone increasingly belligerent, the black-hole pupils of his eyes swallowing the blue irises.

“They are navy blue,” I told him. “Your school’s dress code says black or khaki pants only.”

“They told me I could wear these,” he insisted. “You’re a stupid bitch. I can wear whatever pants I want to. This is America. I have rights!”
