#16: '64 Ford Galaxie 500 wagon... I had a '63 Galaxie 500 sedan in California. I paid $150.00 for it in '79. The old lady I bought it from felt guilty "charging me so much..." Excellent condition. 390 engine... 'Would pass anything but a gas pump... It even had A/C that would blow snow and power windows! Only Caddies and Connies had those back then! I drove it cross-country and to Alaska. I LOVED that car... Alas, everything dies... She started rusting through and blowing blue. I sold her for $1100.00 on the East Coast... The buyer thought she was cherry!
Men, we are blessed to have places like these to visit, people like these to see and two of the finest men I know for sharing with us. Thank you Irish and Jeffery. Bloggers rule and rules. Greatest Country on Earth
Cars of my youth: my first car was a 63 Galaxy 500 xl with 427 and dual fours for $2,000 flipping burgers at $2.15 an hour. Later a 1954 Porsche 356 for $2,500 making $20k per year.
Thanks for the Jeannie pic Jeffrey. - Nemo
