I went to the grocery store yesterday as is my habit weekly. Arrived around 8:30AM. I usually enjoy a nearly deserted store. The parking lot was JAMMED. the aisles were crowded and people were leaving the store with shopping carts filled to overflowing. I live in central New England where one would think that people are used to snow in winter. Couldn't prove it by what I saw.
I get great entertainment from my local weather doom porn news people. It gonna be cold folks just not as cold here as my friend in western Minnesota, the good area. He told me 2 days ago they are expecting -50 windchills over the weekend. I reminded him he still hasn’t taken me ice fishing.
ps My granddaughter drew that picture for you, she is a cutie and as of this week has switched from a Cajun to Texan. I am sad, no more Cajun restaurants for awhile.
There was an unusual amount of we will just say jet or airplane clouds yesterday over southeast Tennessee. I don't know why but I am just giving a forecast warning for all to stay prepared. It's looking like we may actually out of the worst weather here
Early on, we were suppose to be in the area for possible freezing rain, but I guess Mother Nature got a little miffed that she didn't get us to freak out with that .3-.5 inch of snow last week here in the Pensacola area. (Snowed 2 years back to back.) I think the 9 inches we got last January kinda made people here go "big fuckin' deal" with what we got this time. NEXT week could be interesting, however...
Kinda DOES look like some of the National Weather maps, don't it?

ReplyDeleteCan't wait, the fishing is gonna be great. But any day fishing on The Gulf of America is great, weather be damned. Unless it's windy.
