There were two built. One had the OHC-6 that Pontiac made, and the other had a 389 V8 in it. GM said "NO" because they knew it would cut into Corvette sales....
Wilder and even less practical than this one. At least the Banshee was developed to pre-production level. That Corvair was two steps past the clay model stage.
