The man pictured with Hank was a head coach for a high school football team in Cushing, Oklahoma. His name is Ron Harmon. He coached high school football for the Cushing Tigers.
So as the story goes, he attended a Hank Jr concert and managed to get past security and asked Hanks road manager at the time “Jim Backmann” if Hank would do a benefit concert for his schools athletic department.
Stop spreading lies:
ReplyDeleteThe US is 33rd in Child mortality, in Developed Countries...not first. The Anti-Vaxxers lie like Democrats when it comes to statistics. They have to lie in order to support their position.
No one lies worse than the pharmaceutical industry. "Take the vaccine. It's safe and effective. It's government approved."
DeleteWhat do we know about infant mortality in the U.S. and ...
DeleteYes, the United States is ranked 33rd out of 36 OECD countries for infant mortality rates. This means that the US has a higher infant mortality rate compared to most other wealthy, industrialized nations. Specifically, the US has a rate of 5.7 deaths per 1,000 live births, while the average rate among OECD countries is 4.1 deaths per 1,000 live births, according to America's Health Rankings.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
OECD Ranking:
The US ranks 33rd out of 36 OECD nations for infant mortality.
Infant Mortality Rate:
The US has a rate of 5.7 deaths per 1,000 live births, while the OECD average is 4.1 deaths per 1,000 live births.
Comparison:
Countries like Estonia, Japan, and Norway have much lower infant mortality rates than the US.
Factors:
Contributing factors to the US's higher infant mortality rate include issues with healthcare access, preterm births, and socioeconomic disparities.
How long have you worked at Pfizer?Rankings depend on who is skewing the numbers. I’m not full blown anti-vax, but there are cases of unnecessary/dangerous vaccines used on infants that sometimes have harmful side effects. I’ve witnessed this firsthand.
Delete33rd of how many?
DeleteI know the answer. Just want to make sure that you understands that the bright shinny object isn't quite that bright or shinny.
still too high
DeleteI am afraid that you are misreading that statistic. We have the highest mortality rate in developed nations, which puts us first in infant mortality. Look again.
DeleteDon't forget that other countries measure infant mortality differently than we do.
DeleteMany countries don't count premature babies or this under a set (relatively high) birth weight.
Some countries only count babies born in government hospitals - like with any statistic, liars sure do figure.
Jonathan
Most countries don’t count stillbirths among infant mortality, the US does. Some developed countries don’t count infants who are born alive but die within 24 hours among infant mortality, the US does. The numbers are not the same nation to nation.
DeleteEver read the book
DeleteHow to Lie with Statistics
Been around since the 50's, essential reading for pink fingered desk lizards.
Most other developed countries count premature babies who die as abortions\miscarriages. The US counts them as infant deaths. That also is part of the discrepancy.
DeleteSL - brought to you by Pfizermectin.
Delete@Skyler the Weird is correct. The way infant deaths are counted are different depending on the country. I think it would be a lot better if we were comparing apples to apples and apples to oranges to pears.
DeleteInfant mortality is not the issue ... the vaccinations that kids get today far exceeds the ones that we got back in the day. I think that we had maybe six or so for our entire childhood. Today, kids are horrendously over dosed, and the mental and emotional toll is staggering. Kids under 2 have 14 injections ... no wonder there are autistic kids all over the place.
DeleteB, you're a neocon moron in denial. Wake up. Just because you've believed something for your whole life doesn't mean it's true.
Delete@Skyler the Weird is correct in saying "The way infant deaths are counted are different depending on the country. I think it would be a lot better if we were comparing apples to apples and apples to oranges to pears."
DeleteThis meme dump was never intended to spark this debate, but it was a bonus for me I do enjoy reading other peoples thoughts/POVs/comments on most any subject, regardless. I don't fact-check every meme while I do try to be accurate serious stories/how-to pieces. Who would take a meme as "scientific" or proof positive? It is a meme for goodness sakes. I would be happy to hear why happy, healthy, vibrant children sometimes develop Autism shortly after receiving certain vaccines since the early 1990's. I have witnessed this firsthand.
One another note, I cannot believe there were zero comments on the "lost dog meme" from the "hound dog/FFF addicts" that visit this page. LOL
I looked up some data on child mortality and found that no one really agrees on that data. I find it most surprising that the cia.gov website lists the US as 0 infant deaths per 1000 and 0 child deaths per 1000 and 0 miscarriages per 1000. Those numbers are absolutely not true. Personally know that all of those numbers have drastically risen in the last 5 years. I also know many people that have been injured by vaccines and have contracted the very disease it was meant to prevent, and in a very much worse way.
ReplyDeleteah bernie. a world class con man and grifter. and people still idolize him.
ReplyDelete...you'd think that the shit kickers in VT would have wised up to Bernie a long time ago, but no. Well, it's not really the shit kickers. It's the NYFC and NYFS immigrants to Brattleboro, Rutland and the greater Burlington area that sadly keep him in office.

Thanks Irish, that gave me a lift to my weekend. Take care
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget that even if the child doesn't die from the vaccine, the long term immunological destruction from the adjuvants like aluminum, thimerosal (mercury), and others, sets them up for long-term health issues that plague them through life...but of course PROFIT the western medical cartel including bigPharma...significantly.
ReplyDeleteReally like that opening shot of Cannon Notch, Irish. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNice picture of Simo Hayha, the White Death. He'd find plenty of targets in Congress nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI live in Cushing and have not heard that story before. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIn Britain, premature babies before a certain stage are considered stillborn.
ReplyDeleteEven if they're breathing, they'll just let it die.
That distorts the data.
So many Free Healthcare! nations play games like that.
Our fine betters all lie like Clintons anymore.
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." Often attributed to Mark Twain, who himself attributed it to Brit politician Benjamin Disraeli (but no evidence has ever been found that Disraeli himself actually said it).
ReplyDeleteWhatever the number, an intelligent person would agree that it is way too high. You follow?
Correct. Many nations in Europe don't count stillborn/premature which also skews the average life expectancy Euros love to tout. It's higher than the United States because they leave infant mortality out.
ReplyDeleteI recently found out that while the baby and mother are in the hospital after the birth, there is a law requiring that the baby be inoculated with Hepatitis B vaccine AND THE PARENTS, NOT ONLY HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER, IN MOST CASES THEY AREN'T EVEN TOLD. I believe this why a number of new borns develop jaundice, at least both of my sons did and it was never explained except that the hospital said it's a "common" condition. Gee, I wonder why a jab to prevent a liver disease would have a side affect on a newborn average 7.5 pound kid's liver.

ReplyDeleteI got the Polio one in 1959.
Given my dad was crippled by Polio, I guess my folks figured it was a good idea.
When it came to measles, mumps and chicken pox, immunization usually involved going to a friend's house for the day, when he had it.
I was the first of my peers to get the mumps, so I was very popular for a week or so!
A problem with infant mortality is how it is counted. Any infant, no matter how premature, no matter how congenitally deformed, ill or otherwise in bad shape, if it lives long enough to take a single breath before dying, is considered a live birth.
ReplyDeleteIn Europe, if a baby dies before being taken home from the hospital it is not considered a live birth. In some countries, a premature infant is not considered a "live birth" until it achieves a certain weight.
Infant mortality is based on the ratio of live births to infants dying before 1 year.
Neither way of counting live births is wrong. There are pros and cons to both.
But you can't compare them in any meaningful way.
Politicians are expected to raise money for their party. Bernie is an independent. He is NOT a Democrat and has NEVER been a Democrat, not as mayor not as senator.
ReplyDeleteHim running for president as a democrat was a sick joke.
