August Rolls Into September...

Enjoy your Labor Day.

I started a wee bit early so no free ice cream this week.

Be safe out there and hopefully you get to partake in some R&R for this long weekend.

The weather forecast looks good for outside activity. Sunshine and 70s for the three days.

  2. Slainte brother. Peace and quiet for me as well till Monday. Dove season, gonna observe a lot of Gods Creation and then fill the air with a little lead with salt of the earth good people.

Use to do the lake thing on holiday weekends, to many people, almost as bad as living in the big city.

May God Bless all of you here and other good blogs with safe travels and good times. See you on the other side

  4. Thundershowers here in Maine a little while ago , and now the sun is out. Sitting by the lake and enjoying the fruits of my labor. It is 5 o'clock everywhere this weekend.
All the best and thanks for all the content!

  5. Fourteen years ago, when I retired every day is a Saturday...

The weather report in southern Colorado is rain most of the weekend ... but that's OK because we need the moisture!!!

  6. I'll send a pic of the two MASSIVE racks of ribs that I'm smoking this weekend. If you ever make it down to the Casa de B.C., I'll throw you a proper Florida cracker smoker shindig.

  8. Rain, rain, rain for south Florida for the next week. I'd love to be on the other side of that cold front.

  10. Inadvertently replied to Jeff’s post so figured I would say hello here too. All you sirs here are making me jealous with the retirement talk. 55 so only semi for me. I’m Doug. I’m a mc. Found this site from coinflation link. Been lurking ever since. Recommended to my dad and bro. We all really appreciate the female human form as well as the design and beauty found in older vehicle of all styles. Dad is a want to be pilot (everything but the solo). He really got a kick out of the b-52 fly along a while back. I did also. To consider FFF pornographic is an absolute atrocity. Must be some jealous Karen that can’t get any from her hubby reporting you? Maybe you need to include ugly and fatty’s in also, with a different token so we know not to click? To censor art like was being provided should be a crime. We were in a free country and porn is literally everywhere worldwide. Majorly sick. FFF is like Playboy
compared to Swank,Club,Hustler… It’s art appreciation, not porn. Maybe we could all chip in for a good lawyer. Thanks Irish for all the good mammories and keep up the good fight!

  11. Labor Day, is the day we all celebrate women who went into Labor for us, right ? A true day of mourning for all that pain they endured.

  12. Not sure if you're aware of it, but The Burning Platform lost a good contributor to its Sunday morning postings; specifically the weekly Sunday Morning Classics featuring classical music. Might be worth sharing, if you and TBP's Admin are still on good terms. SMC broadened horizons w/ classy music for the last 5 years. Sad to see it go.
Steve C. will be missed. There's some good tributes to him in the comments on the 2 most recent posts.
    Thanks for considering it.

  13. For a Labor Day weekend it was really good. The temperature was under 95*F, we had a Gem and Mineral show in Hanford, California for Saturday and Sunday. It went well, had about 300 people show up for it. Even met some people I have not seen in decades, that was a plus to the weekend. Hopefully they will be around for our show in Lemoore, california on March 21and 22, Sat and Sun. at the Portuguese Hall. Come one and come all, free admission and free parking.
