Thank you all for the comments and messages. It's greatly appreciated.
I passed on your sentiment's to "The Boss" and she's thankful.
Arrangements are being made, and as each day passes things move forward.
Another Friday greets us. The sunrise is shining and it's going to be hot humid sunny day.
Next week is looking really nice. Temp and humidity drops and the nights in the high 50's for
good hibernation time at least over night.
Enjoy the day and the weekend. I'll be around to visit based on schedule and may even get
off a post or two. The shafts on the machinery never ever stop.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you and yours, Irish.
ReplyDeleteTake some time and hold them close. They need you and your support more than your loyal readers right now.
We'll be here for you when you're ready.
My most sincere condolences for your loss.
Peace
Kind of reminds of many of the old time factories long ago, especially "back East", with all kinds of shafts, spindles, belts, gears, and armatures spinning away all day and well into the night.
ReplyDeleteBTW, one of my grandfathers was born in Munich in the 1870s, immigrated to America in the '90s, worked hard, sent funds to his future bride's father for her one-way passage to a new life. He was a stationary engineer (operated boilers) in a brewery, built a large house on two lots, had six kids, and was one hell of a wine and beer maker, or so the story goes. He died before I was born, so all I have to go on is stories and a few faded pictures. Still, Grandpa Mike must've been one hell of a hard worker and a wonderful father/grandfather. Sound familiar?
