Thanks for posting. Earth Science degree and loved Geology classes. Always taught the tectonic forces formed the Rockies. Interesting new theory and great visuals of continental drift.
Being a low-level student of.....whatever, I found this very interesting. I also passed this on to my boss who has a (BS?) degree in geology. Good stuff, well presented, even though it took me a bit to catch on to what he was saying. And if I can suss it, most anyone else should be able to as well.
I have always been amused that our hottest days in the Northern Hemisphere come long after our days are already getting shorter.

It’s odd too that the earths closest approach in its orbits around the sun is in late January. That might make more sense to the folks in Australia.
