  1. I for one am not surprised. Virtually every state has it's bastions of socialism concentrated in their urban areas and college towns and cities. I was born in the Liver Free or Die State and remember that even during 80's before I relocated to the left coast for occupational reasons there was constant grumbling about the flatlanders moving in from states to the south who were trying to escape higher taxes. They would move in and then proceed to to try to add all the services and conveniences they missed which would just raise the taxes. At one point here was talk about seceding from about Concord north and give the lower part of the state to Taxachusetts. Although native folks there had a strong libertarian leaning it was the flatlanders that brought in progressive socialism. They will never be considered natives of NH. Just because a cat crawls in the oven and has kittens doesn't mean you get to call them biscuits.

  2. Nothing against the good people of New Hampshire and Iowa, but I'm goddamn sick of hearing about New Hampshire and Iowa. The MSM, not God, anointed them as the states which pick the "front runner" in every national election. Nothing stops the political parties from designating some other states as the first to hold the primary elections, and I wish they would switch around.
    Rant over.

  3. Rising star? Should you not have some actual accomplishments before being called a rising star?
