Actually I think the war-wear B-17's and B-26's the USAAF was trying to use to take out U-boat pens in WW2, would be the largest RC controlled aircraft, Excluding that they were converted from manned aircraft to radio controlled. But they were driven by pilots during take off and climb to cruse, then the pilots were *supposed* to bail out safely.
People are amazing. If I had all the money in the world I still wouldn't have the skills or knowledge to build something like that. Wonderful that just normal guys can bring together the materials, the knowledge, the construction skills and the ambition to make that happen.
I wish I had that kind of money to build one of them...not that I would, but I wish I had the money.
