Classic Cars in Movies: AC Cobra vs. 57 Chevy From Hollywood Knights (1980)
One of my favorite movies from the 80's. The AC Cobra was one of the all time great production racers ever built with early 289 C.I.D. Aluminum body versions capable of 0-120 m.p.h. and back to zero in 12 seconds!
The Cobra in "Hollywood Knights" was a real 427, and was driven by the owner. The producers wanted the car in the movie, but the owner wouldn't let anybody else drive it.
The yellow '57 Checy was originally built by Popular Hot Rodding magazine as "Project X".
I make a hot sauce from an old heirloom pepper called "Red Peter" and named it GALWII. Always get a howl when people ask me what it means............................
If you like that, you are going to love this! Notice how the AC out accelerates

And the puff of blue smoke at 45 seconds in is the motor blowing up.

One of my favorite movies.
This punch got a little wang in it......................
ReplyDeleteI had not seen Hollywood Knights in a while and rented it from Netflix. I literally was crying at some of the humor. Gailard Sartain was hillarious!
