    1. Next step anodizing or chromate? Looks like 50 or 60 series aluminum.....as a machinist you should be able to tell by how the shavings come off the block.

  6. I'll echo that's beautiful surface finish on that (looks like) aluminum. Is that from using forced coolant flow, or misting? Or just from perfect feed and speed?

  7. I loved working with the milling machine in Metal shop class in High School, circa 1974. I sometimes think I missed my calling, but a biologist I would always have been anyway, so, no worries.
