Police Departments Across The Country Start "Explorer" Programs

 "The program also seeks to introduce members to a paramilitary organization";;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

I read today in a local newspaper where a nearby police department here in north Alabama is implementing such a program.  Out of curiosity,  I Googled "Explorer", police department, young men 14-21, etc. You can do the same for your AO.

  2. I was a Police Explorer is 1968 and it wasn't a new program then. But we basically were all "Instant A**hole, just add badge."

  3. My son-in-law is a cop and works with the Police Explorers and it has nothing to do with paramilitary organizations. They instill self respect and respect for others, ways to help out in the community, camping trips, and many other things that keeps the kids out of trouble and busy doing positive things. The will teach older kids how to handle firearms and take them to a shooting range with the parents permission.
