Vision
With the oppression of the over
regulated, over taxed, war riddled and welfare riddled society consuming
the world, Ayn Rand's famous protagonist character, John Galt, came to
conclude that he would not use his talents to support such a society any
longer...driving him to create a community where scientists, inventors,
entrepreneurs and many others would come together to escape from the
confines of their daily lives to not only be free...but to thrive. In
today's world, it is becoming more and more difficult to find true
freedom from very much the same oppressive forces Ayn Rand wrote
of...which drove John Galt and others to a place where they found their
freedom, success and peace of mind.
We hope that you can take the time to learn
about the vision, passion and awareness behind Galt's Gulch Chile and
come to realize that this great community is being created with the same
vision of John Galt, penned by Ayn Rand years ago.
Galt's Gulch Chile is designed to be a
fully self-sustaining community, affording those who live here a more
than abundant supply of fresh clean water, sourced from over fifty water
wells and two underground aquifers, canals off of two seasonal rivers
and numerous natural springs located throughout the community...clean
and renewable energy...organic fish from scenic manmade lakes...and a
plethora of organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, spices and herbs born from
the fertile soil and the ideal year round climate.
Galt's Gulch Chile has miles and miles of
untouched natural beauty where hiking, biking, mountain climbing,
horseback riding and camping enthusiasts could spend days on end
exploring the open spaces of the community.  Beyond the endless ways to
enjoy the peace and serenity of Galt's Gulch, residents can enjoy time
sipping organic Yerba Mate at the community clubhouse, taking a dip in
the community pool, having dinner on the main patio under the stars or
simply strolling through acres and acres of the various organic,
non-GMO, crops of the community farm.
Galt's Gulch Chile is planning other unique
amenities, which would make John Galt and Ayn Rand proud, such as the
Agora Community Center, where residents of Galt's Gulch can offer their
services to their neighbors. Professionals in health and wellness,
naturopathic and holistic medicine dentistry, child and adult education,
fine arts, engineering, and many other fields will have an ideal
environment to contribute their skills and knowledge in order to
innovate and collaborate with others in the community and to offer
products and services for the betterment of themselves, the community,
and hopefully, the world in which we live.
I'd be skeptical. Seems like a way to lose your money when the initial investment runs out....
ReplyDeleteBesides. The farm isn't even close to the "expected" output, they don't show profits for it either....
Who lnows what the government of CHile thinks of all these expatriates living in a very productive valley? Will you be allowed to stay, if an when?
THere is a LOT of if and should be and expected and such in the fine print too.
I had thought, although I maybe mistaken, that it also has some connection to the guys who were running the oil drum. I believe the head honcho from there was the largest financier of the project or something.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty and all, but...
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I could buy productive land, with good water for peanuts
down there. No need to line the shit out of these guys pockets!
I saw this awhile back and was interested, but didn't follow through, not that I'm going anywhere. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to the site, but from the description, it looks to be a tree-hugger's haven, not Galt's Gulch.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me, and I have read the descriptions and blogs of one of the head honchos, that there will be a lot of well off Gringos down there all patting themselves on the back for escaping the "Evil" (although I can't disagree totally about that) USSofA they have given up on. Anarchists, Liberals anybody who are thinking they "put one over on" this country.
ReplyDeleteI'm staying here, concentrating on tribe and family, working on changing what I can, and waiting. For this too shall pass. G'vt will still be screwed up and evil.. I'll just concentrate on wiping the evil from my little part of the world.
